My day babysitting

Is my journal better yet?  Still trying different things!

First...Stefan had his apt today to review the MRI and EEG he had and it was....

NORMAL!  Yeah...no brain tumor or anything.  They gave him migraine meds and that was that.  I am so relieved!

Ok my babysitting experience Friday:  Here are some adorable pictures of some pretty cute kids :)  They are of my Nic and my great niece and nephews.

Here is one of my great niece Jenna Paige...isn't she the cutest thing!

Below is Nic, Brady (blond one) and his older brother Jaden...Nic is showing them how to play on the computer games.  They loved it!

Oh wow, that is actually all the still pics I got.  I got four or five videos which I will try to put in one or two.  See those below.

Also I added my Cashew Chicken recipe over and Cory and Carrie's kitchen if you want to check that out.

Saturday we watched a movie and went shopping for flour and some other things...including MY new phone! Here is a  picture of it:  It's a Motorola razr and I love it.  We had to sign another 2 yr contract but at least I got a phone now!

This is with my scratch guard cover so it last longer:  AND Nic had to show off his ball he got from his sister Alex :)  It lights up and flashes and all that jazz!

Also it was snowing like crazy here (see end of video)...I think we got a good 3-4 inches here again!  I have a video of that too.

A movie review:

Daddy Day Camp:
The sequel to Eddie Murphy's Daddy Day Care, stars Cuba Gooding Jr. and Paul Rae as Charlie Hinton and Phil Ryerson, a pair of fathers who attempt to keep their summer camp afloat even though they are under dire economic strain. In order to help improve the financial situation, and to whip together a group of children who have a problem with following orders, Hinton brings in his military trained father (Richard Gant), even though he and his father have been on the outs.

Things we lost in the fire:
This was a sad movie!  Starring  Halle Berry and Benicio Del Toro  Berry, after dealing with a huge loss in her life invites a life long friend to stay with her and her two children.  With each others help they both discover hope and happiness in their new lives.  Very good movie.

Video below:  I put the five small ones I had in a remix to make a 3 min video...enjoy!  Hope you all have a fantastic day today and I will be back tomorrow...I'm sure there is something I forgot to share that I will have to add :)

Catching up

WOW has it ever been a long week for me.  Seemed to go on forever.  Now spring break is over and Stefan and Alex are back to school.  Yes, Alex is still going :))) I'm so very proud of her for going back!  She still has some other issues she needs to get straightened out but don't we all!!   I wish she would get rid of the "friend" of hers.  She loves his to death but he is just using her for her car and her money right now.  She will see it soon enough.

Anyhow...I have lots to share with you all.  First...I finally got my recipe ready to post so watch for that today!  Check out Cory and Carrie's kitchen for that recipe...it's a public journal so you can share it with anyone you want.  I also have a movie review and IT'S SNOWING like crazy here so I took some video of that.  I also have pics and video of the kids from the day I babysat for my niece :) Those are cute.  And I think that's about it.  But I just wanted to come on and let you all know I didn't get lost. I  will be working on my other entries now...had to export pictures...and they just got done :)  I will be back soon.  Hope everyone out there is having a fantastic day.  I also have not been able to read much but I will get to your journals this week yet!  I will try to catch the new entries today at least.

Still trying to fix it

Ok some it was fine for and some it was not. I went back to where Linda said it started being LONG and deleted that entry...it was just the what we can eat one anyhow and I think that was where the problem was...I hope.  SO NOW is it shorter ?  LOL  I will get it soon...next is calling reinforcements (hubby!) lol  To fix this.  Anyhow I'm babysitting today for my niece so gotta go.  I have four of the little rascals here now ;) I am taking pics and video

Shorter journal I HOPE/ Movie reviews

OK I did What Linda told me to do today and hopefully my entry is not L O N G today! lol  Thanks much Linda...now I have to hope that I did it right!  Ok so...it's late but I wanted to come on here and ask you guys if it's long yet.   We FINALLY got to watch:

"Enchanted"
Robert played by McDreamy from Grey's anatomy plays a divorce attorney and he runs into a young women (the women from cartoon world) who was "lost"...so he helps her out by letting her stay with him. I don't want to share to much as it may ruin the movie for ya. Starts out as a cartoon but ends up being live action.  I LOVED it!  Linda you were totally right about that movie!  We also seen:

"August Rush" and that one was a tear jerker!  A young boy was given up for adoption after his mother was told he died.  Her father didn't want her to have to go through the "hassle" or raising him so he forged the adoption papers.  The boy was put into a home for boys in New York City by the state until he was 12 and then he ran away to go look for his parents.  Have some Kleenex ready!  OH It's really good too.  Two movies you are gonna wanna see! Both three thumbs up if we could!

Ok, I will be back tomorrow with more...my son finally came home today ;)  He brought his friend with him...I guess it's my turn to feed the two for a few days lol.  I'm sure they ate Trevor's mom out of house and home and she sent them back here!  Trevor's mom is one of my best friends so we just send the boys back and forth! lol  We used to live next door to them for 12 years.
Off to bed...let me know if my journal is shorter now.

Is it Wed already?

mmcWelcomeGardenCarrie-vi.jpg picture by 2breakaway1968
WOW yesterday and today have been nothing but picking up around the house and catching up on laundry.  Want to thank Missie for the beautiful tag~!  It's exactly what my journal needed!  Some spring hope! lol   I need to use some of those great tags I have been getting.  I have just been so lazy lately.   I have to say...my house looks pretty nice now that I spent the day cleaning yesterday. It's pretty much ALL I did all day.  AND laundry like crazy.  Still have two loads of that left and then it all starts again.  Cory is bringing bread flour home so tonight I will be making bread.  STILL have not gotten the pictures done for my recipe...see lazy!

It's been quiet around here. Alex has been working (two, soon to be three jobs) and Stefan has been at his friends house for the last three days over spring break.  He is planning on coming home tonight.  We'll see! lol  He likes being in town, that way they can just go up to the mall or to the movies...he has his truck there so they can do whatever they want.  Wouldn't it be great to be 17 again!??

REVIEW:

"The Bee Movie" It was ADORABLE!  I loved it and we are watching it for the FOURTH time now. lol Nic fell in love with it.  I highly recommend this movie for a family movie.

My MIL got us tickets to go see Diego LIVE here in town.  It's in six weeks and man I WISH she hadn't mentioned it to Nic because its all I hear about~  Especially when he gets tired and cranky...he cries and wants to go see Diego NOW. lol
I have some things I have been working on and will probably share what that is a few months down the road here...thats why I have NOT been emailing much...I usually email certain people regularly but haven't been online long enough...just to update journals and that's about it!

UMM lets see...I don't think there is anything else...OH YES...Linda has brought it to my attention that my journal was long (width wise)!  I have fixed (I think) a few things and was wondering if anyone else is having this problem with my journal.  Its' aggravating to try to read this type of journal I know...and I want to make it easy for my readers to enjoy it.  Let me know k.

Monday already! RANT AGAIN! lol

Wow this weekend seemed to of went flying by!  We didn't do much really...just watched a few movies and we went into town to buy some farm fresh eggs! Then I spent some time on the Pioneer Women's web site and I am trying some of her dishes!  WOW she has some yummy stuff over there!  It was my first visit to her site and I loved it!  We have also spent a lot of time on the internet together this weekend looking at Beef, chicken and pork and we have decided on a few different things.

WARNING:  Here comes the rant! If you want to skip this just go to the END RANT in red! lol

First off we seen how TERRIBLE these animals are being treated at plants they are "raised" in!  It is beyond what we ever imagined!  Seriously folks!!!  What is wrong with our government!?  They allow this crap to continue and these poor animals are suffering.   People are suffering with the run offs from the CAFO plants (Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations) and it's horrible what some people have to put up with!  Google it to see if there are any in your area. I know we found NINE in our city alone!  All this crap runs off into our streams and rivers and is hazardous to us and our children.

With all this said we have found many "family" farms who treat their animals with respect and don't load them up on antibiotics and fill them up with corn products and we will buy our beef from them from now on.  We also found a chicken place where they raise chickens and treat them well rather then throwing them all in a stench filled room with 20 chickens to a cage!  We will get our chickens from them.  Everything is grass fed 100% and that is a real blessing to us!  They also sell pork too!  Were all set!  We have been getting our eggs from a farmer near us and the eggs have been simply amazing!  The yolk hold SO much more omega 3's over reg store eggs rather then Omega 6 which we really don't need!!

The food industry takes out all the good stuff and fill it up with preservatives so the crap will last longer on the shelves!   It's so scary!  No wonder so many out there are suffering from cancer.  It's just unacceptable what they have added to our foods over the years and I refuse to feed my kids that...I want to know I at least tried to do something good for my kids...yes, it's going to cost a little more but if I have to I will get a job to meet the difference.  I wish we would have done this a lot sooner.

Did you guys see that even TOYS are not safe anymore!?  They have found led in the Hannah Montana toys and thalons (sp?) in the hard plastic baby toys (U know the ones our babies CHEW ON!) it is very unsafe for our children. They have done a lot of testing and our children today have WAY more bouts of cancer then ever before!  One of the toys is the Handy Maney plastic tool set, another is the Gumby doll, and we all remember those teething rings that had the water looking like stuff in them...that too!!  All these things have been banned in many other counties! WHY is it still allowed in the USA??  I swear I want to move to England! lol  The funny thing...they had a gov meeting in England and they banned these toys BECAUSE of the research found in AMERICA!  HUH!?  They got it was bad and did the right thing and banned it but we didn't?

END RANT!

Ok I feel better now!  SO now you have it...we have to finish up our meat here and our In laws will then go in with us to buy a 1/2 cow (organic, grass fed ONLY, and well treated cow)

I have some pictures I want to share with you.  My MIL got us two new bread pans! :)  We were thrilled and now can give HERS back to her!  We were "borrowing" one for a month now! lol  Here it is!  As you can see its ready to go into the oven :) This is lite wheat bread below

Here is a trick I learned when my son got aggravated with trying to get PULP out of his sippy cup! lol  It must have been so frustrating for him! This works wonders! lol  It's a coffee filter.

We had a wonderful looking morning today and I tried to get pictures of it but it just didn't show the same thing I was seeing. I was so mad! lol I wanted you all to see what I was seeing here!  We had this sparkly diamond lookto our trees this morning! It was just amazing and here are a few pics but none do it justice!  I'm guessing it must have sprinkled just a bit last night or early this morning.  We still have tons of snow on the ground but after seeing this when I woke up It reminded me WHY I love winter so much!  It was 18 degrees here this morning.

OK NOW I DID make  Cashew chicken BUT I wanted to add more pictures that I forgot to take when I made it the first time so later today I'm going to make another batch and freeze it just so I can get the pictures I missed and then I will add that recipe to my journal.   Here is what the "finished" dinner looks like! OH THIS IS GOOD folks!  A little on the spicy side but if you enjoy spicy you will LOVE this!  Heck you could even cut the peppery ingredients and have little or no spice. It's good either way!  We love a little kick though!  It's just like Kung Pao Chicken! Tastes VERY similar.  This is served over white rice.

I am PISSED ?

Sorry for the language but I really AMMMM!

Ok maybe I'm being a little overly excited about this but this got me mad!  I can add this in here  because my journal is private and if freecycle chick is a reader here well she already knows I'm upset with her so it doesn't matter if she sees it! lol

Ok I have given SEVERAL things away on Freecycle...a sewing machine w/ table a king size water bed with a really nice headboard, new boots/mittens for kids that didn't fit Nic anymore, a breadmaker, and several other things that we didn't use anymore. I have only posted TWO want adds.  One for pots or pans not to scratched up and the other was a cell phone for hook up at cellcom. Got neither which is ok...I'm not mad about that.
First question...Now tell me...WHY does it matter when you put in an add as a "want" that it matters WHERE your at?  I mean this IS a freecycle only in OUR area.  Someone from an hour away probably wouldn't be answering a want ad here anyway right?  And if they do...WHO CARES...if I don't want to travel an hour I would just simply say "thank you" but I don't want to waste the gas. It's just an email...not like it's going to hurt either of us. I had to rant about this first...this was about her first part of her email bitching that I ADD AN AREA to my post.

Ok on to the point of this whole rant!

deleted this part to see if this made my journal huge!  I copied and pasted if from a different site so maybe this will work!

Now I can tell you this...when I look at a WANTED ad I LIKE seeing WHY people need something.  It helps in making a decision on weather or not people are just out there trying to make a buck to resell this item!  There are many out there who do it!  I am just ticked that she would send such an email back to me making me feel like crap.  This email just put a stop to all my giving on freecycle totally. This women has done this more then once to me but this email just totally pissed me off!  For one thing...my email was not "LONG" and for another she obviously doesn't understand hardship if she is going to rub it in someones face.  UGG! I will just live without my phone for a while it's just NOT worth it.  I am just steaming right now!  Am I wrong for being upset about this email?? Maybe I'm overreacting...my thumb does still hurt!!! LOL

A few things I forgot to mention

Ok one thing...can't tell ya how I forgot to mention this but I guess I'm really depressed about spring and wanting warmer weather lol.  But I think I broke my thumb...not sure if it's actually broken...I really don't think so but it hurts like nobody's business!

Here is how that happened:  I went to let the dogs out... was mad to begin with because I asked hubby to do it (I do it almost ALL the time) and he didn't want to but he said he would call Alex and have her do it...well, by that time our pom would have peed on the floor so I just said I would do it!
Anyway, while they went and did their thing I switched laundry and then went to let them in.  WELL, our stupid BIG Boxer decided I wasn't being fast enough (it's 15 degrees out there boohoo) and while I was reaching for the door he comes CRASHING full barrel jumping at the door like he always does!  Well it was not all the way latched so the door SWUNG open at 50 MPH... SERIOUSLY!  And it jarred my thumb straight on!  Can anyone say OUCH!  OH I was in major pain.  THEN after saying a few choice words at the dog..(I can't slap him...he didn't know he was braking my thumb lol) I see hubby out in the garage!  OH I was mad!  I said...IN TEARS "WHAT ARE YOU DOING DOWN HERE"!!?  LOL  He looks at me like 'what the hell'!  I'm not ever like that and don't yell at him much at all lol especially not like that...heck I was surprised I said it! Well, for one I was in MAJOR pain, for another he scared the shit out of me...I didn't expect to see a man standing in my garage, and for another he just got done saying he didn't WANT to come down to let the dogs out...well I figure if he had come down in the first place I would NOT be in pain! And who knows...it was probably HIM who didn't latch the door..I usually make sure it's shut tight cuz I KNOW Max does that!   Well, he came down to look for his phone in the van while I was in the laundry room  and that's why he was down there.  GRRR  Oh well, I apologized to him and were all good now.

On to the next...remember when I told you that my daughter moved out of that house because of drugs and stuff and moved back home?  Well, she went over to see if her taxes had come in that address and noticed that EVERYONE was out now andthe house was a complete disaster AND the biggest discust!! They left FIVE cats there with NO FOOD OR WATER!  Oh she was mad.  She gave the cats water and my  MIL donated a bag of food that she put out for them and she is now trying to find out the landlords name so she can contact him to let him know those cat are in there.  If nothing changes by next week she is going to take them all to the pound and turn in that girl for animal abandonment.  That is just cruel!  She KNEW she could have called Alex and she would have come taken them and brought them to the pound.  The cats were there prob over a week and they were looking thin.  Alex said she thought one of the smaller ones was dead...the could not find her and she is always the first one down for food.  Poor babies!  Those people should have to live without food or water for a week to see how they enjoy it!  GRRR some people!

Ok..tomorrow I am planning on making my "Bless U Cashew chicken" so come check out my kitchen journal for the recipe tomorrow afternoon :)  I'm taking pics too of course.  I think thats all I forgot to mention today.

Is Spring here?

Everyone tells me it is here today...all the journals I read say it is!  I don't see it!!!!

It's 17 degrees this morning!  Suppose to warm up but I didn't even look to see what it was going to warm up too today...maybe 35...barely warm enough to start melting the snow away.  Here is what it looks like around here today:

Our oil tank is still buried in the snow! lol

Now I love Snow and I love winter and I'm sure by end of July you will hear my gripping about the heat but THIS is crazy! I am ready for some snow to start melting now.  I'm not sure how warm it's suppose to get today huh hopefully it will reach close to 40 or so.  I have to go look in a bit but just wanted to come and rant!
Anyone having this 60 70 degree temps send some this way! lol  PLEASE???

OH I forgot to mention in my last post that my dear daughter went back to school last week!  I am SOO very proud of her and she is doing great.  She really wants that diploma badly and now she knows she has to work for it to earn it.  The GED just doesn't compare to a regular high school diploma! I mean I have been in the back office even at our hotel.  When an app comes in I hear the managers talk and say "OH they have a GED, well that proves right there that they are not willing to stick it out and graduate, lets hire the one with the diploma"  Just that kind of thing.  It's not right and it sucks but it's the facts of life now a days.  The graduate will get the job any time over someone that has a GED. I know this first hand...I quit school  in my JR year and NO one would hire me.  NO ONE!  And until I met my husband now...and he made me go back to high school I didn't have a job!  Now I can at least say...yes, I do have 12 years of schooling in!  And a year of college too.  If it were not for him I would have never done it.  He was very smart and really popular in high school so I made several friend quickly.  I actually went to school every day and went from getting D's and F's to being on the honor roll.  My MIL still has the newspaper clipping of it! lol  She was pretty proud of me.  My daughter knows this and I think it helps in her decision making.  She is seeing just how hard it is to get a job out there.  And a job you enjoy doing.

Ok this entry was not suppose to get this long lol So I will take off for now..just wanted to ask you all to send warmth my way!

Catching up again!

Well it's been a busy last few days.  Cory took a few vacation days and we watched a few movies and made lots of bread lol.  I will start from where we left off last entry:

Sunday we had fun counting grapes and getting all our meats separated and ready for our meals.

We got Nic's  snack drawer all nice and full again after our shopping day yesterday. He is allowed to pick his own snack twice a day during snack time from this drawer. OR the fruit basket...he usually picks from the drawer.  I did forget to buy string cheese...so those are usually in here too. He wasn't happy with me because of course he wanted THAT for snack time.

And of course Nic played Nickjr on the computer.

I have some cute pics of the cats together...you hardly ever see these two cats alone!  It's just SOO cute!  I have a video too which I will add at the end of the entry...check that out.

LOOK Aspen is sticking his tongue out at Jack ! LOL  I loved this picture.

Sunday night we had Awards night for my son's wrestling team.  Unfortunately he doesn't get a State plaque because his doctors told me to wait on wrestling until they know more from the MRI and so he wasn't able to be put on the name rouster to wrestle on the team at State :(  He was upset but he did get a metal (key chain) and two t-shirts and of course his third letter of his wrestling high school career.  He's lettered Freshman, Sophomore, and now Junior years of high school. I am SOOO proud of him!  I have not taken pictures yet but I will.  I have not seen my son in the last few days because he stayed at his friends house. I did however take other pictures which will show up along the entry today.

So anyway, the awards meeting lasted from 5:30 to 9:30...it was a LONG night for both us and Nic!  He at one point had to be taken to the car for a time out.  He was just getting tired and not behaving well at all.  When we got home we went right to bed.

Monday cory took a vacation day and we just hung out at home and tried out some different recipe's on our bread.  We made honey oat and it was GOOD!  It was the same as our recipe in Cory and Carries kitchen but with a few minor changes and I will update that recipe on there later on this week.  OH this was good!  Here are a few pics of how it turned out.  We also brushed honey on top of the loaf and added some rolled oats on top.

Stefan and I have had this HORRIBLE cold with this HORRIBLE cough that won't seem to go away.  All we have lingering now is that cough.  It hurts and I think I mentioned before how it feels like I just did a million sit ups in a row!  And my son's head hurts every time he coughs which is like every 30 seconds! I can't sleep at night because even with cough syrup I still wake up every hour with cough attack! And I hear Stefan downstairs doing the same.  Poor kid!

We watched some movies today too which I will add reviews for later in the entry. Gosh I remember not long ago when I would dread Cory staying home from work! lol  I honestly did...but now I WANT him to stay home with me.  We do have a lot of fun together now that were older and I just love having him around now.  It makes me happy because I won't be afraid of his retirement now ;) lol
Heather knows how much I hated having him stay home ;)  SHHH we won't tell HIM this!  The point is...I love him being home now.  And I think I know when that started...My neice Heather and I spent A LOT of time together when she was younger...I mean ALOT.  And when she started having babies and didn't come around as often I felt sad :(  BOO HOO  and I missed her coming around.  Then I guess I turned to Cory to take her place.  But Heather...you can still come around if you want to! Heather has a journal here BUT never write in it anymore...she's been pretty busy with three lil beautiful crazy babies. And by the way I found her the perfect man and it took FOREVER to talk her into going on a date with him but she finally did and now they are hopelessly in love! And together they have three kids :)  lol This happened all very quickly so I guess I was right and the chemistry was there.  This man was so in love with her from the first moment I introduced them!  It was just so cute!~ I will have to share that story later...anyways...
I do go to heathers house a lot with Nic and I hope that her kids and Nic will be very close and have tons of fun together.  Heather if spring ever gets here we will have to plan a trip out every other week...to a play land or something kk??  Ok whew...i kind of got of the subject there for a bit! lol  Lets move on to Tuesday...
Cory went to work and I went into town with him because Stefan had his MRI early TUE morning.  He had slept at Trev's house so he was already in town. I just met him at the hospital.  It was HORRID going into town. We had freezing rain for hours.  There were people in the ditch all over and a bad accident on the bridge but of couse we live in Wisconsin so they didn't cancel school..now way no how.  Only if there is 2 inces of ice on the road or 15 feet of snow! I swear!~  It's a wonder they haven't gotten sued yet!

His MRI was quick...well after they stopped him from coughing first that is. lol Everyone moved away from us coughing fools!  It was quite funny.  I would to though if I were them!

After the MRI Stefan went back to school and I went home to pick up Nic...he stayed with Grandma and her friend Pat.  He got to watch cable so he was thrilled to go to grandma's house.  When Cory got home we decided to go to the Organic store in Antigo because I called and they  had the Dried red bell peppers there I have been looking for forever! It's the last ingredient needed to make my "Bless U cashew chicken meal"!  It's an awesome meal and I will be sure to share it in my kitchen journal when we make it!  We also picked up some organic wheat flour and we made wheat bread when we got home! It was very good!  Turned out perfect!

We watched another movie after Nic went to bed and then we went to bed.  I woke up...not even kidding...every 1/2 hour with a coughing fit!  Oh I am SOOO Sick of this cough! I coughed so much I woke up Nic and he came climbing in our bed at 4am.   Cory took part of a vacation day this morning just so I could sleep a little.  I just could not keep my eyes open at all! I just got up at 10 becasue I was still not sleeping anyhow!  This cough has GOT to go I tell ya!

Later this morning Nic and I finally got to enjoy some outdoor time.  IT WAS CLOSE TO 40!  Yippee!  Here is Nic on our patio enjoying his toys and the sun is just shining beautifully.  Snows finally melting some off the roof.  We still got  about 5-10 inches out there on the ground tho.  It's a real big mess down our driveway right now!

Ok now for the movie reviews:

Awake:  I may have added this before..not sure. But anyway this wasJessica Alba's new film and we really enjoyed it.  It really makes  you scared to ever have surgery tho! The man who has to have a heart transplant is AWAKE for the surgery but the surgeons do not know this.  The meds made him unable to move but he felt everything! Much more to the movie then only this but I don't want to ruin it for you.    I give this movie 2 thumbs up!

The hottest State:  Umm this is a 2 thumbs down. We didn't like it and didn't finish watching it.  I would not recommend this one. Simply uninteresting to us.

30 Days of Night:
NOw this was a GREAT movie.  A little scary but not to bad.  Just had a really good story line to it.  It's not anything that would happen realistically but we loved it. This revolves around a small town  called
Barrow, Alaska. Its on the Arctic circle, and is  preparing for its annual "30 days of night," a period during the winter when the sun will not be seen. People who don't want to suffer the extended darkness leave for Fairbanks or other parts south. As the town gets ready, The Stranger (Ben Foster), rows ashore from a larger ship, then trudges towards Barrow. Once he arrives, he sets about sabotaging the town. He steals and destroys all the cell phones, destroys the town's only helicopter and kills all of the dogs.  His "gang of vampires" then terrorize the town.  Two thumbs up from both hubby and I.  Keeps you on the edge of your seat that's for sure!

Invasion: With Nicole Kidman and Daniel Craig.  When something terrifying comes to earth and attacks us while we sleep and turns them into soulless replicants.  Nicole kidman plays Carol who is a psychiatrist and begins to see how people are changing around her and the only way to stay alive is to stay awake.  Very good movie and also gets a 2 thumbs up!

Ok now here is the video:

BOY THIS ENTRY TOOK ME FOREVER TO DO! LOL I DID COPY IT JUST IN CASE!!

What I decided

After all the great comments and tips on this subject with Stefan here is what I decided to do.

I know teens and I know that if you try to FORCE them to do something they will be sure to do the opposite. After watching that show on 20/20 last night it got me scared for Stefan.  It's just too easy to get a rap now a days for dating a younger girl.  SO I decided to call her mother and have a talk with her.  Explain to her the situation here and ask her how she plans on dealing with it there.  I would like to try something other then whats happening right now.  I know she probably thinks that this is the end of it.  But I know better.  I'm thinking maybe if we talk...hopefully she will talk and not try yelling her way through...that together we can come with a solution.  I'm hopeful that maybe we will come to a conclusion on this whole thing.  I would just tell Stefan to stop seeing her but I know that is not the way to deal with it.  They will still sneak around in school and see each other anyhow.  I mean Mels parents took her phone away so she could not text Stefan and she borrowed her friends phone for the night.  She is going to find a way to talk to him.  Kids are not dumb!  SOOO wish me luck...I'm hoping Mel still has her phone so I can ask her for her mom's number.  Seeing the legal consent age here in WI is 18 we may have a prob on our hands and I hope it doesn't turn out badly!!!  I know Stefan has a good head on his shoulders and he swears to me that sex is not what he is looking for in Mel.  He enjoys being around her...she is funny and she is very smart.  She is in all AP classes.  Stefan has always searched out smart girls.  He says the ones who get bad grades usually smoke, drink and do drugs. huh I would have never even thought of that. He says he sees it all the time in school.  And he says he's planning on waiting until he's married to have sex.  I hope that is the truth. I would be SO proud of him.

OK on to todays happenings...tonight at 5:30 we have a wrestling meeting at the school. It's their end of year meeting where they get their T-shirts for going to state and all that good stuff! I have to bring a dessert to share.  Not sure what that will be yet.  Then we will come home and watch "Nancy Drew" we picked it up yesterday.  I have a movie review I will add later when I add the Nancy Drew one.

Nic is totally hooked on the computer!  He is his fathers son and his brothers brother!  Thats all I have to say.  He is hooked on Nickjr.com and the games they have on their and he is GOOD at them!  He's a natural when it comes to working the computer.  He's only 3 but he has it all under control.  lol  Ok this brings me to another problem we have had with Nic.  He gets to playing and he doesn't want to go poop so he will start to go in his pants and when that happens he will finally run to the potty.  Well I got real tired of this REAL quick!  I stopped it once with sticker rewards...that got old and he started it again.  NOW I told him that every time he went poop in the potty AND there was not poop in his underwear he would get 15 min of computer time.  OH BOY has this worked!!! LOL not an accident since!  He knows he has to go he is just being to lazy!  I hope this continues to work ;)  Ok folks I better get to dishes and making bread.  Talk to you all later!

OH by the way..Stefan has tried talking with her mom and dad but they don't want anything to do with it.

About the dating

I wanted to quick add while I'm waiting for my slow poke hubby to get ready to leave...that I really appreciate all the comments I got in my dating entry.  I did take Mel off as a reader to my  journal because I really needed to talk about this and I didn't want to upset her more then she is already.  I guess a friend of Stefan's said that she was crying uncontrollably in school...so hard that he thought she and Stefan broke up!  She was that upset by what happened then night before.  I think this will be WAY easier on Stefan then it is on her because we all know girls have WAY stronger hormone levels then boys!  lol Oh I know this so well when dealing with Alex and her "boy friends" that we would not allow her to see.
Right now Mel hates her parents which is normal I think.  She told Stefan that she would not listen to her mother and she want's to see him anyway...I had a long talk with Stefan and told him since he was the older, stronger one of the relationship he's going to have to make the choice for her and hang back and just be friends until her parents allow her to date. I mean this could mean a record for him if her dad got nasty which I believe he has the capability of doing from what Mel tells us.   I totally understand her parents view and I think I would do the same thing to a point...I would want to meet the boy and see what he was like tho.  But then maybe tell her...ok here is the deal...you guys be friends now and when you are 16 you can start dating WITH friends...not alone.  That way they are not so devastated and depressed! We all know what a depressed teen age girl is like!!!  OH Man!  I know I do for sure!  SOOO there ya have it...OH and someone told me about a show on 20/20 lol we were waiting for it and found out becasue of basketball it will air tonight at 11:30pm  you will bet your bottom dollar I will be watching...I also sent a message to Mels mom to watch it ;) Maybe we will all learn something.  I am making Stefan watch it too.  SO thanks for that info!!!

Trouble with love/LONG ENTRY TODAY lots to tell

Well we have a dilemma today.  First I will start with our "normal" talk. lol

We had steak burgers for breakfast today and the guys are late getting out the door as normal lol.  Yesterday was parent teacher conferences and Stefan is doing great. We are proud of him. The sad thing...one of his teachers he had as a young boy is dieing of cancer.  She doesn't have much time left at all.  She is in the hospital and is pain free...she is in a drug induced coma per her husband.  I think it's what I would want too!  Her hubby did a good thing.

We haven't watched any movies for a long time...we have movies waiting for us tho.  Just been watching the regular non cable channels since we don't have cable anymore.  We really don't miss it tho. I never once thought "OH man do I miss cable!" lol  I guess we made the right choice and were saving 70 bucks a month too! :)

I have been pretty inactive with the camera this past week.  I don't know why but I did happen to get this picture while playing fetch with Max...just loved how his lips went over the football all the time lol.

Ok now on to the "love" problem we are  having:  I need some opinions.

I told you that Stefan's girlfriends parents did not like Stefan right??  Well,  Mel was texting Stefan when all of a sudden he got a message from her mom from Mels phone...asking him if he knows the laws on dating a younger girl and that she does not want him dating her until they are both of legal age.  Ok for one thing...I think it's VERY unrealistic to keep your kids from dating until they are 18.  It just doesn't happen anymore.  I can sure see 16 yrs old tho!  I didn't allow my daughter to date until she was 16 however I KNOW that she did anyhow behind my back I just could not catch her. She just would not admit to it.  My point...kids are going to do it if you know about it or not...so to keep them "date free" until they turn 18 is just unrealistic.  I have a feeling they will be pushing her away from them if they try to keep her to that.
ANYWAY...now I will get to my point.  Stefan wants to keep seeing her but I told him IF her parents are not going to allow her to, it's just not a good idea.  I mean her dad can really cause some problems for Stefan if he so chooses and he will be 18 in Sept of this  year.  I told him he needs to be respectful of what her parents decide weather or not we think they are the right choices or not.  Its their child!  I mean, I totally understand because she is only 15 but there is only 2 1/2  years between them so it's really not that bad..it just seems bad because she IS so young.   I don't know..what do you guys thing? She is a freshman and he is a Junior...I think wanting to date a jr in high school is a pretty normal thing for girls. I know when I was a freshman I dated a Senior.
Stefan did ask them if he could ask Mel to the Prom but she never answered him back...I'm guessing that is a no. lol

What I told Stefan is that they have YEARS to be together...just be "friends" now and give her parents a chance to trust him and see that he's willing to wait (if he is) and if he does i think they would be pretty impressed with him.  Maybe they may change their minds when she is 16 or 17 yrs old.  He's pretty upset because he does like her a lot. She has been crying a lot lately because of all this and it's been bringing her down!  Her mom did say they could be "friends"  so I told Stefan that is a start. Ok so here is my question...If you had a 15 yr old daughter would you let her date a 17  yr old boy?  AND would you make your daughter wait until she is 18 to start dating?

OK NUF OF THAT!!!  NOW I want to share what went on at the clinic for Stefan's apt.
They decided to do an EEG of the brain first rather then the MRI...the MRI is schedules for this next Tue at 8am.  THEN we still won't know anything until the 31st of March!  That is when his follow up apt is when they sit us down and explain all the findings to us.  So right now we still don't know anything.  It's kind of frustrating now knowing yet...now I have to be worried for weeks yet!

Ok I think I covered all I wanted to today.  I hope you all have a great day today!!! We will be shopping tomorrow so not sure If I will get online or not.  Were also going to be watching all our movies we got over the weekend.  So I may be quiet till MONDAY!~

House full of sicko's coming up! &Lil Rant

Ok first I have a correction and I'm really surprised my niece didn't catch it! LOL  On my last meme I put that I was 38 and my friend corrected me!  I'M 39! Oh geez I really thought I was 38 and had to figure it out lol!  I felt like a 2nd grader trying to count on my fingers.  Oh man, she has to be wrong!  I wonder if my sidebar age is right...I know I just upped it a year but was I 37 last year on it? lol  Oh man, I must be getting old!  How depressing.
Anyway, Stefan was sick yesterday...had a fever and chills and cough and all that.  Today he doesn't feel that great but he's going to school I guess.  He also has a neurology apt today and I hope everything goes well with that!  They are just making sure there isn't a tumor that is causing his dizziness/headaches.  More dizziness then headaches tho. I kind of feel sick to my stomach because of that apt to be honest!

I'm not sick YET!  I don't feel 100% but I don't have a fever or anything yet.  I have not gotten the flu shot this year. I have a feeling I'm going to be wishing I had!  Stefan and Nick got it for sure...maybe that's why this is only lasting a day with them?  I'm not even sure if Cory had it or not.  By the way, Cory got home last night.  He got a ride home which I was happy about because I could finish watching American Idol.

He also brought home an application for DVR (Department of Workforce Development)services! This is where they help kids with disabilities (my son is deaf) to find jobs of their liking and make sure they work with the employer so these kids can keep their jobs.  Now this is where my rant comes in...I am wondering WHY we have not been informed of this service when he turned 14 (since this is legal working age).  The business trip he went on Mon and Tue...he went with a coworker who's wife happened to be the woman who hires these kids and helps them find good jobs. He asked Cory if Stefan had ever been referred to his wife?  Of course the answer was NO because we had no idea this even existed.  And it's not like I have not searched the web for help for him...I had...maybe I overlooked it but I never seen anything of the sort.  I mean...Stefan has been wanting to get a job last year already and we just didn't know what to do about it.  I wanted him to concentrate on school work and be sure he keeps his good grades up because he's going to need that to get into a good college.  Although there are not many deaf colleges and I believe that they take most of the deaf students anyway...but hey...maybe he will go to a hearing college with an interpreter.  Who knows.  I'm just angry that the school hadn't referred us to these guys years ago. Her thought was...because he's getting very good grades they prob thought he will be going on to college and then they don't see the need.  Well some kids like to work during the summer for extra money...and with gas only going up he will NEED that extra money!

OK well, I'm done ranting now and I have to go  eat I'm starving for some reason this morning lol  I hope everyone is having a great day and I will come update after we get back from his apt.

NEED SOME HELP

I was wondering if anyone out there know where I can get some recipe's that are easy to make and are WW friendly where they tell you what the points are already for the meals.  I have been searching with no luck.  Any ideas are welcomed!!

My pics work now :)  Shutterfly did not like them but photobucket took them just fine and allowed me to transfer them.

Can U see??

Can you see the pics now???

Update on Nic

I'm working on fixing my pictures on myside bar...come back later to see if they worked.

Nic is doing fine right now...he had a high fever all night and i was so scared for him.  He was just shivering even under three blankets!  He slept with me since Cory wasn't home.  I stayed away all night listening for him...he would wake up every 1/2 hour and just cry and say owww oww!  Poor baby!  I didn't have any tylonol so I was giving him the generic Ibuprofen and that didn't help him at all.  Took his fever from 102.5 to 102 that's it!  So my daughter was nice enough to go to the gas station at 6 this morning to get him some tylonol.  By 7:30 he was good to go.  He has not stopped playing since!  It's after 2 pm now and he's still ok.  although he did come to me just now and say his head is starting to hurt.  I gave him some more tylonol.

We had two accidents last night...our dog peed on our couch!!  I had to take that all apart and wash the cousin and the covering on that!  Stefan was making him stay on the couch and he wanted to get off...so he peed there!  GRRR
Then after we went to bed Nic peed on my bed!!  SO I had to wake him up sick and all...lay him on the couch and clean my bed up.  I flipped the mattress over and took care of the rest in the am!  It was 3am and I was not going to get the noisy cleaner out.  I had to have my daughter help me flip the mattress over so we could go back to bed.  That was not an easy job! We have a huge king size mattress that is double thick almost!  It was heavy!  It got stuck on the light and then my daughter climbed up on the bed and got it unstuck and then I pushed it over ON TOP OF HER! lol  She went flying everything on my stand went flying...oh it was a big mess!  We couldn't help but laugh! I finally got one hour of sleep after 6am!  By 7:30 Nic was wide awake wanting to play on the computer.  I...half awake said OK HUN just so happy he was feeling better.  It was hard peeling myself from my comfy bed after I had JUST gotten to sleep!  I did get this cute picture yesterday of Nic and Stefan.  Nic was feeling a little better after he threw up and then wanted to watch Stefan play bowling.  Shortly after this he got sick again...he did not throw up anymore so it makes me think it's just the cold flu not the stomach flu at least.  OH how i hate the stomach flu!  We did take a bucket to bed with us just in case though! lol  Nic did decide he wanted a hair cut cuz i gave daddy one (another way to save money for us) so I cut his hair right after this picture.

I have a sick little boy today`

Does everyone see my pics on my side bar or are they not working?  I think I added them the wrong way.  Let me know. I see them but then sometime I don't!

Poor Nic is sick today.  It all started after his Nap. He woke up with a slight fever and he was just laying on the couch (not like him at all!) so I knew he wasn't feeling good.  He said his head hurt and then I gave him some meds.  About an hour later he threw up all over.  He was laying on the couch and then all of a sudden he jumps up and runs to me, holding his tummy saying OUCH and i picked him up and he threw up!  Most of it went on the hard floor thank goodness.  Oh boy, great time for him to be sick...hubby is not home :(  I hope it's not the stomach flu mixed with a cold.  Alex had a bad cold when she moved back in and I bet were all going to catch that too. So, we got him cleaned up and laying back on the couch with a bucket this time.

Stefan had plans to go to the movies tonight but decided not to now.  Alex is at work.  I'm just hanging out online until some shows come on that interest me.  I  have to do dishes later but that's about all I will do today most likely.  I just hope I don't end up sick tomorrow! I'm probably going to make bread today too.  Forgot about that.  I know there are a lot of people sick around Jland so I sure hope everyone starts feeling better soon.  We really need spring around here I think!

The last few days.

It's been a couple days since I updated.  I have been busy cleaning and doing laundry.  Trying to get everything set because Cory is leaving for a few days for business.  I will be driving him to town by 11 this morning and him and another guy will drive out with the company car.  At least I get to keep mine!
Not really a whole lot going on.  My daughter got a job and they called her in yesterday to waitress without even being trained in yet because they had no one else.  She of course went and got some pretty good tips.  She handed some money over to us and then she went out to see a band.  The three or four guys in the band are from her high school and they are doing really good in the music business I guess and they have really been getting a lot of "GIGS".

I got some pics and a video to show you.  Funny thing happened yesterday and here it is:

NO this is NOT our dog! And NOOO we are not keeping him!!!! LOL He ran into the house when my daughter was trying to leave (it's cold outside, I don't blame  him!)  He has adopted us. I had never seen him before but Alex says its the neighbors new dog. I tried calling her to make sure before we send him off on his own out in the bitter temps but she was not home.   I will try her again today.  The dog hung out with us all day and  plays fetch and gives his paw.  Obviously someone has taken some time to train him. The best thing is...no messes in the house!  He is obviously housebroken too :)He's a very nice and gentle dog. I got a video of him and Max  playing. Nic has named him Bandit since he looks like the "Little House on the Prairie" Bandit.
Nic has been playing cars in the living room so it's a living room FULL of toys! So don't look at the mess when  you see the video! lol That video will be at the end of this entry.

Here are a couple other pictures: Stefan is cleaning...throwing things from the floor to the couch is cleaning I guess...OH  notice most of my curtains are UP...well Mr. Jack things he wants to climb them lately!

Nic is contemplating his mess making skills very soon! He has a pretty good start on it.

Nope not yet..his show came on.

Max if very tired after his work out with Bandit.

Stefan was trying to put him back outside but he ran to me for protection.

He  helps himself to a little dinner before going back out in the freezing temps.

In other news...Stefan has a new girlfriend.  She is on the dance team at his school.  She is only a Freshman and Stefan is a JR but I remember being that young and wanting to date the older guys...for one, they were more mature, and for another THEY could drive! lol  So when I was a freshman I dated a senior. There are a few girls very upset with him for dating her but I told him...he has to do what's in his heart or he won't be happy. He said at first he didn't think he was ever going to date her but then after they spent time together he really got to see who she was.  He said she treated him nice and was fun to be around and talk to.  AND she's not scared of his deafness.  She is hearing and knows NO sign but is learning now. I give her SO much credit for not seeing Stefan's deafness as something that could hinder their relationship. Her parents are not fond of Stefan because of his age...what they don't know is that they have nothing to worry about when it comes to her and Stefan!  Stefan is not some sex maniac or someone who will treat her badly. I trust him to make good choices and I know he will. He has NEVER given me a reason not to trust him.  I hate when people get judged because of their age but... I have to say...I DID IT TOO!  With my daughter...although if my daughter dated someone like Stefan I wouldn't have worried so much! OK now I know I sound conceited lol but if you knew Stefan  you would know why I say these things. My niece Heather can tell ya!  Heather leave a comment will ya ;)  lol My daughter seemed to pick the ones who had trouble written all over them. She likes the "bad boy" sort of speak.
In the pic below she is on some sort of trip to New York with the school I think.
Here she is, she is a beautiful girl...

OK here is the video!  Hope you all have a great day!

Just saying HEY!

Just making dinner this morning and thought I would come on here quick and say hi.  Were having kielbasa and sour kraut this morning and I'm just waiting on the potatoes to get done.
Nic fell asleep at 6pm yesterday and hes STILL sleeping! I had to go check on him this morning. I was so sure he was going to wake up at 4am and come wake me up.
He was really crabby (no nap) and he went down by Alex and sat on her lap because he couldn't get his way up here.  She said he fell asleep in 5 min. lol  Oh does he love having her here!  I'm sure she will be getting annoyed by him real soon.  So far though she has been a HUGE help with him.  He's been real entertained.

Stefan is done with wrestling practice now so he's been getting home from school pretty early (when he drives himself). He decided not to join track this year because he wants to heal up from wrestling lol  His shoulders were hurting him by the end of the season.
We did watch a movie last night after American Idol

Beowulf:
It was ok but pretty gory.  It was rated PG13 but I think it should have been rated R.  It was computer animated so it was almost like watching a cartoon in a way.  It was a good story if you like the medieval sort of movie.  Beowulf is asked by the king to slay the evil creatures that have been killing them.  Don't watch this around kids as they do show limbs being ripped off!  Even in computer animated movies that doesn't look pretty! lol  Angelina Jolie is the creatures mother who's always naked! lol At least thats who it looks like.

Well dinner is done...time to wake everyone up! Have a great day!

hello ~:-)

Well today so far is a boring day! lol  We decided to have french toast for breakfast today since I FORGOT to take out the meat yesterday from the freezer!  So this was the first time in a long time we had an actual breakfast for breakfast.  Felt weird and we do enjoy having dinner more.  I got the meat out now!  lol

There is a really nice tribute to Brett Farve over at my friends journal.  Check it out!

Well i have some news for you all.  My daughter has moved back in with us.  I don't know for how long but I do know why.  They allowed an old friend of hers to move in...this friend recently broke up with her "loser" boyfriend so Alex thought she would be ok.  Well, turns out that she brought drugs to the house and now everyone is doing them.  Alex didn't want to be any part of it so she asked if she could move back in.  I don't know how many times I've told her...she didn't need to ask because she always has a place here no matter what. That is what family is for and I won't be changing my mind on that ever.  She will have to pay her way here...either by paying rent or by being my housekeeper (dishes and laundry) :-o  NICE RIGHT??  But it's her choice which one she would rather do.  It's going to cost us extra now to have her shower here and eat here.  And a little more on electricity cuz the girl seems to stay up all night and sleep all day!  She got used to having a late job and never got out of that habit.

So anyway, Alex took the van last night and got the rest of her stuff and now her room is a mess again!  RIGHT AT HOME! lol I got to love her clean room :(  No more though!  When it comes to her room... clean is no more now that she lives here again.

Onto some other stuff...I had a really bad day yesterday after I heard the news about Brett.  I really didn't think it would bother me but it just sucks! At least I didn't cry like a lot of fans did when they were interviewing fans on the news! That's a little TOO obsessive! I'm going to miss watching him play on Sundays next season though. I guess it was just such a surprise. I was more prepared for it last year! lol

Well, I'm going to go update my recipe journal  and add my french toast. OH it's divine!  LOL If it's not there when you check...check later...I have to add all the pics so it may take me a few minutes. :)  I hope everyone has a wonderful day today!!!

Just got the depressing news!

Can you guess what I'm going to say??? Knowing I'm a huge Packer fan!

Brett Favre is retiring!  This makes me so sad because i was sure after this past year he would hang around one more year!  I have been watching him for 16 years now and it's a very sad day :(

AND then our weather is going to suck this week.  We have -16 degree temps coming up here this week!  And the other days aren't much better then that!  Oh such a bad week when it comes to the news!  LOL

Today all i'm doing is cleaning, cleaning, and doing laundry.  Then i'm going down the road to pick up a ceramic vase I got off Freecycle.  Can't wait to see it.  That's not till 4pm today so until then I'm a homebody and just cleaning away.  I don't even have to make bread today!  We have two loaves made yet from yesterday.

Hope everyone has a good day today! :)  I will go weep in the corner now about Bretts news!

My new recipe journal

Ok instead of having the recipe's I share here be mixed in amongst the other info of my life, I have decided to add it to a PUBLIC recipe journal called Cory and Carrie's kitchen

There we will share our recipe's...only ones that we have tried and love.  So please share this journal with anyone you know who likes new recipe's  AND I have added LOTS of step by step pictures as well.  I already updated my first entry "Homemade Bread" so go check it out.  My hubby is still adding some detail to it so you may see some changes in the entry later on.

Have to share this awesome picture with you.  Aspen just loves Jack and Jack loves Aspen.  Can ya tell!? Both of the cats have adorable green eyes!

And this one is of Max a few days ago pouting because he just got yelled at for being by the table while we were eating.  Now he's watching us from the couch! lol

Well, I'm heading off to bed but wanted to share that journal with you.  THIS is the LAST "new" journal I'm starting ;)  We will be adding more recipe's very soon.  I believe I'm going to be adding the "chili cheese chicken" tomorrow sometime. This is my all time favorite dish!  I could eat this every day! lol

Don't forget to put my new recipe journal on your alerts :)

Found something out

If you take your bread out of the oven 2 min earlier...(23 min total in oven) it's MUCH softer!  This bread is really yummy and doesn't this look like store bought bread!?  I promise it's not!  Even tho we store it in a "store bread bag" lol  It's just as soft as the store bought stuff tho I have to say.  Were getting pretty good at this bread making stuff!  I make prob a loaf every day.  My house always smells like baked bread.  YUM!

I think I'm going to make some banana bread with my bread flour to see how that turns out.
Were not sure of the buns we made last night.  We will be trying a different recipe for sure.  Those ones were really super soft the first 1/2 day but then they kind of got harder...or heavy feeling.  It didn't call for blooming the yeast but I think were going to bloom it first like we do the bread to see if that helps.  If anyone out there has a good bun recipe let me know!

LOOK AT MY BUNS!

;)  Here is what we made tonight :)  Oh boy were they good.  Tomorrow for breakfast were going to have hamburgers on fresh made buns.  Remember when we took the edge tiles off because they were lose and one fell on Nic's toe?  Well, we still didn't fix it yet lol.  So ignore that edge to my counter!   It USED to look good!

Also something you guys should know about home made bread.  TRY FRENCH TOAST!  OH WOW, it is the BEST ever with home made day old bread!  NO LIE!
This morning my hubby let me sleep in and he made me breakfast in bed :)))  AND that is what he made me.  French toast...and it was the best I had ever eaten in my lifetime.  He also did the dishes while I slept :-)  It was so nice waking up to dishes done.

Ok I have some more movie reviews for ya.  Three of these were from before that I forgot to mention:

Eastern Promises:
The film follows the mysterious and ruthless Nikolai, who is tied to one of London's most notorious organized crime families. His carefully maintained existence is jarred when he crosses paths with Anna, an innocent midwife trying to right a wrong, who accidentally uncovers potential evidence against the family. Now Nikolai must put into motion a harrowing chain of murder, deceit, and retribution. I rated this one 2 thumbs up.

Blonde and Blonder:  Don't watch this one...it's dumb!  Seriously! lol I didn't even finish watching it.

Becoming Jane: Starring Anne Hathaway See the trailer here!~  This is a 2 thumbs up as well.  Very cute movie!

American Gangster:  Starring Denzel Washington and he does a GREAT job in this movie...he is the big drug lord in this movie.  This is based on a true story and it was actually a real eye opener!  Deals with major drug dealers and you would be amazed at how many cops are crooked!  This has some violence in it so don't watch around kids. See trailer here.

Ok on to good news.  Stefan went to state this weekend with his wrestling team and the took FIRST in State!  For the first time EVER!  They did an awesome job and Stefan said he had tons of fun. :)  He has some pictures on his phone I'm going to try to get off of there and post them :)

Just stuff and pictures too

Ok come on guys!  I need two more for my pay it forward challenge!!  COME PLAY! Leave me a message on that entry (previous one) if you want to play! The gifts you send don't have to be expensive or crazy but just nice.

Next just wanted to come say hi.  We went into town yesterday and got all our shopping done.  I got home and smelled smoke or something like that when I opened my fridge!  I told Cory and he said his nose is stuffed up so he didn't smell anything!  He said well we will just leave it and see what happens.  So if you don't hear from me in a while...maybe my fridge blew up?  lol GOSH, that's all we need!  To have to come up with the money to fix that too! lol  We can't even fix our van right now. Good thing we didn't move the fridge that is in our laundry room out yet!  We man need it.  Our fridge is not that old and we got it from sears but it's been the worst fridge EVER. It's always leaked a little water and over 3 weeks time there is a huge hunk of ice at the bottom of the freezer that I take my big knife handle and chop it out ALL the time!  ANNOYING!

Anyway, I got the cutest picture of Jack that I wanted to share:

This cat is forever meowing at me lol I think he is still thanking me for saving him from the freezing temps when someone dumped him in our yard! Isn't he cute!!

And then we have "THE KING" Aspen...he is just the boss of the house and you can see his attitude. He's the oldest now that our Bailey dog is gone. He's a gentle giant tho and he loves that kitten!

Ok on to a movie review:

FLUSHED AWAY:  Great kid movie and we liked it too!  We give it a thumb and 1/2!  lol  It's not quite TWO because there are some kid movies that are better.  But this is worth renting.

MARTIAN CHILD:  OH this was a VERY cute movie. Our video store only carried 4 copies and I can't figure out why!  IT was awesome and it got two thumbs up from us!  Very cute and a very good movie to watch with children!  Have some Kleenex ready for a few parts of this movie though.  OH I cried so hard on one part!

That's it for now...we are going to watching more later today and I will add them later on.  Have to get to some cleaning now.  :((((
