Happy 20th to US! :)

This entry is a dedication to my hubby who I love dearly!  He is a wonderful father, husband, but most of all he is and always will be my best friend!  No matter what happens between us. 

I really wanted to get this entry out there earlier in the day but something was wrong with our internet AGAIN..All of a sudden it just started working again this afternoon?! 

Anyway...here is our BIG 20th anniversary!  Cory is still at work BUT he announced this morning that he was taking the family out for lunch.  We called Alex, gathered up our sons and off we went. It was a great lunch...we talked with Alex about registering at school which she had already done on her own!  I was so thrilled to hear
that.  Stefan drove us (Nick and I) to town in his truck which he was thrilled to do!  He looks so cute driving his truck.  I will post a pic here later on too. 

First I want to start out by thanking Missy for making me this tag!  It is soo very cute!  THANK YOU! It's just so beautiful! 




Next I will go on to share this!  This is just how I feel about my husband :) 




And now, here is our wedding picture taken on August 29 20 years ago today. 



Our children's kindergarten pictures...I just thought they were so darn cute on the first day of kindergarten!   I had to add these since they are a part of our lives too and we always celebrate our anniversary with them too.

 

Of course Nick isn't in kindergarten yet but I just thought that his one year picture would go good here.



Ok remember how I said that I would get Cory a card...well I didn't because I really didn't think he was going to get anything and I really didn't want him to feel bad lol  WELL, I was wrong!  Here is what he brought home for me!

He comes up stairs and says...I got you a present.  He has something behind his back...the first thing I thought was "oh my, I didn't get him anything!" 
He brought this out from behind his back. 



Now, I was happy with this and thought it was just about the cutest color carnation I had ever seen! Then he went back downstairs again and came up with this:

How thoughtful!  I loved it and I was really feeling bad about now for changing my mind about the card!  But he wasn't done there...he also got me this card...it's touching to say the least.





Then he goes BACK downstairs and comes up with THIS! 



Inside of this were these cute little guys!   And a very cute prism heart which I will hang in my van. 






Today I feel very very special and I sure wish I would have gotten him that card now like I had planned!  Today was a great day...we got to spend time with our kids, I got presents, and i get to spend the next five days with my husband :)  This week is going to be a great one!

ONE more day

Tomorrow is our 20th anniversary!  I can't wait...Cory does have to work tomorrow but he's taking Thur, Fri, and Mon off so we have a 5 day weekend together.



 I remember back when we first got married I hated when he took days off because he drove me nuts! lol  I also loved when he would go out of town so I could do what I wanted when I wanted.  NOW, I hate when he goes to work and goes out of town.  Not sure when that all happened...maybe when my niece started having babies and hanging out with her mom instead of me :(((


And I had nothing to do then! 
My niece and I did everything together pretty much.  She would come over to my house every day and we would do something.  And then when Cory would go out of town we would go to a movie or find something to do.  I don't think we have been to a movie since she had the babies.
 


Heather, if your reading this...lets make a movie date! lol 

Just can't be this week cuz...well, I will be celebrating.

on with some pictures...I promised a pic of Nicks toe (remember the edge of the tile feel on it) I finally took one and so here it is: You can still even see the bruise on top of his foot a bit yet.  It's been days and it finally started to fade away.  Looks yellow now.

Stefan's room...the bed was already stripped cuz we were getting ready to head out. This room actually had two double beds in it but can't really see the other one at the right. Usually we take Trevor with us but the boys were fighting then and Stefan was mad at him.

My missed day

Well I missed a day of journaling and this time it's my mouse!  It's been acting up and with an Apple computer you can't plug in another mouse.  We have wireless keyboard and mouse.  

Yesterday I got to watch my great nephew Brady again and the boys had a really good time.  I didn't get any cleaning done but it was still fun.  Nick loves having his cousins here!  I didn't take any pictures this time...I totally didn't even think of it.  We were outdoors most of the time.  They had tons of fun. 

Today we had a day of outdoor work.  Stefan and I worked our butts off  getting all the lawn evened out and mowed over by my driveway. I will take pics of it tomorrow so you can see.  We didn't do one side of the drive so you will be able to see a big difference.  It was not a fun job but it sure was worth our efforts.  Stefan is trying to find ways to make money so he can license his truck he bought.  And I told him I would pay him 7 bucks an hour to do this with me. It's VERY hard work and he earned his money today.  I think this week he will be going ginseng picking with grandpa to make even more money.  His work with his dad is already done so he can't depend on his regular job for money.  He did get a start of a stomach ache towards the end so I made him sit down for a while. 

WEIGHT WATCHERS>>>  I had weigh in on Saturday and I lost 1/2 lb!  better than the gains I have had the past TWO weeks.  I am doing much better this week and keeping my journal up.  That is my one goal...to keep my food journal the entire week. AND i need to show my MIL so I have to keep it up.  Other then this, nothing much going on around here.  HOpe you are all well!  I know lots of you have been dealing with a bad cold so I pray that you all get feeling better very soon :)

Five more days

Just five more days until our 20th anniversary!  I'm excited but yet we won't be doing to much. I think I'm going to buy some champagne and rent a movie and enjoy our night right here at home.

Usually we never buy each other gifts or anything like that because we always have other things to spend our money on. If we do want something we just go and get it any time...we don't wait for our anniversary or anything like that.   Sometimes we get each other cards and sometimes we don't.  This year however, I feel it's special enough to get a card for my husband.  I will also be having a very special entry on the 29th so be sure to check that out.   I'm not sure if Cory will be getting me a card or not (I hope he does just because)...he may not because we have had this agreement for some time and if he doesn't that's ok with me too.  But I want to get him one. 

Now,  shopping for this card may take a while.  If anyone knows me...it takes me FOREVER and a day to shop for a card because I have to read each one and pick just the right one for someone.  In fact..I don't send many cards because of that reason!~ lol  I just can't stand it if I can't find just the right one for the occasion.  My goal for 2008 is to update all the anniversary's of the friends and relatives we know and send a card to everyone!!  If I missed YOU on your anniversary...don't feel bad..I didn't send ANYONE a card!  I feel terrible about that and I need to fix that!  I have such a terrible memory as well so that doesn't help either.

In other news today, I decided on taking off ALL the edge tiles on our counter top and replacing it with wood.  They were just not holding. All I had to do was simply pull up and they would come right off.  I would hate for another one of those to fall on someone's foot again!  There was just not enough edge space to adhere well enough.  So for right now our Island looks terrible!  But it's better that then another hurt toe!  I'm going to go searching for some wood to replace it next week sometime. 

Stefan is still feeling well enough to stay awake and not take any meds :)  That makes me feel alot better!  I like the fact that he won't have to miss any school and so does he.  Mostly because he wants to try for a 4.0 this semester.  And that came about when we got his letter in the mail from the school today telling us about awards night in Sept.  I am SO very proud of that boy!  He will be getting a silver medal for achieving a 3.845 GPA in the tenth grade.  A point shy of a gold medal (you need a 4.0 for that) but hey...we'll take the silver!  Were not fussy! lol  I will be sure to post pictures of that day :)  Today I am a very proud parent!  MORE LATER :)

My boys feeling better

Both boys are feeling better finally.  Nick's toe is fine...he doesn't even notice it now.  Stefan worked a full day today and was fine.  And he didn't sleep at all today yet.  He usually sleeps during the day a few hours or sometimes all day lol.

 I forgot to tell you guys yesterday that Nick was given a job.  His job was to rewind all the vhs tapes we had with our little rewinder.  He had lots of fun. He did a great job. 



Today I had to go to Stefan's school to get his schedule.  He has a pretty full one this year.  AND he has geometry!  Yuk!  I would never be able to help him with that lol That would be dads job.  So he's all signed up and ready to go.



Oh, we watched "Wild Hogs" last night and I have to say...that is the best movie I have seen in a long time!  It was so funny. If you have not seen it I recommend it.  We just loved it.  If you have seen it let me know what YOU thought!  John Travolta was by far the sexiest of the four lol.   I see why Oprah is crushing on him. lol 

Both my boys in pain now :(

Last night before bed Nick was goofing around by the tile counter top...(side tiles are falling off (I think the grout was bad) so were now adding a wood boarder rather then tile)  and one of the side tiles fell on his little big toe!

Oh my, did he cry.  His toenail turned instantly black and he cried for 1/2 hour straight.  It was so close to bed time but I didn't put him down right away because I wanted to see what his toe was going to do.  It didn't change much after an hour but right now he is still sleeping so we will see what it looks like today.


In sick child news...he is now having abdominal pain!  He didn't eat anything all day yesterday...only drank(and that was a chore) so I'm hoping it's hunger pains.  However, if the pain does not go away after eating I will need to take him in again.  Doctor said the spleen can rupture easily when it swollen and his is swollen.

He decided that he would eat pizza so that was good.  I know his throat hurts terribly but he has to try to eat SOMETHING. Well, pizza is almost done so I'm going to get off here for now.  I will post a picture of Nikki's toe later today as well. It look horrible! 

Very Humid tonight!

Hello,  Well still got a sick son and not expecting him to get well any time soon.  I feel horrible for him but at least now we got some pain meds called in from the doctor.  It's been helping him some.  He is suppose to work tomorrow but now sure how that will work.



 He's ok for an hour and then he has to lay down and sleep. And just like this pup...he's really out.  Nothing wakes him up. 



DIET WISE...I had a fabulous day and tonight we had bourbon chicken...it was just as good as the first time we made it.  This had just over 600 reviews and most were a 5 star.  It was good!
 


Well, it's about time to close up and get my butt to bed.  The temp reads under 70 but it's so gosh darn humid that it feels yucky outside so we turned back on the air for a few days until the 100 percent humidity dies down.
