Huge problem

UPDATE:  Later tonight (midnight in fact)  STILL NO WATER, no toilet, no shower, no laundry, no bath for nick which is due tomorrow, no dishes i did do some and emptied the dirty water over our balcony, nothing that has to do with running any water!  ALL the plumbers are totally booked up till WED and WED was possibly the soonest they could get here.  SO another whole day with no water.  Lucky for Cory he goes to work and he's stopping at the Y to shower on the way there.  I get to smell funky tomorrow unless I go to the Y too to shower.  AND it means another day of bugging Grandpa for his toilet and another day running NIck out in the cold to do it. It will only be him and I tomorrow so I have no choice but to take him with me.  OH and lets not forget that we were POTTY TRAINING!!! It was going so well too and NOW it's back to diapers.  Poor kid, I totally confused him now.  Well, it's off to brush my teeth OUTSIDE! lol  NO not really...i brush them in the bathroom and just dump the water outside but thought it sounded good anyhow.  lol  I'm trying to keep my humor here through all this. 

Toady we have a HUGE problem!  Our basement flooded out!  Not terribly flooded but it went into the family room and close to Stefan's NEW carpet in his room.  We have play mats on the floor for nick to play on and those were all wet under the mats and our carpet in the laundry room was soaked.  The water was coming from the hole in the floor in the laundry room. Every time you would run water anywhere in the house it would come up through the hole!  I was pretty upset. We don't know if something froze or if something is stuck or what.  Were going to try the snake today and if that don't work were calling the plumber right away.  I'm not fooling around with this and I need to do dishes and use the toilet!!!  Thank god grandma and grandpa live next door! lol  I refuse to run over there every time I need to use the toilet though...it's far enough next door that in the cold you would have to use the car!  It's still about 1/4 mile down the driveways to get to their house.  They have a really long drive.  It would be faster to walk through the woods but not in the snow. 
I will let you know how it goes later on...watch for updates.

Update

Well it's warmed up a little from yesterday although it's going to get right back down to -20 so I guess we better enjoy the -7 for now lol.  I just hope my van starts after work tonight.  It's been pretty slow but I've been watching the SuperBowl so I'm not online much yet today since I got here.  I will be on more later tonight after the game.  I mostly watch it for the commercials and the 1/2 time show. lol  I am curious who's going to win though.   Probablly no pics tonight since I'm at work but will post some tomorrow. Next week I start weighing in every week again. I had to stay off the scales for a month with the new program I started.  (The best life diet)  It's been fun though becuase I got to eat whatever I wanted pretty much :) 

BRRR it's COLD out here!

OK first of all I have to say this!  I'M COLD I had to run into town to get honey to make home made granola bars for the wrestling team tomorrow. They are having a youth tournament and they needed some snacks to sell.  I will have to run them in tomorrow before 11am.  Not like i want to get up that early but I will.  My son doesn't wrestle at this one though.

YES you seen that right!  It IS a minus before the 17!  AND it's -44 wind chill too. 

Below are the home made HEALTHY granola bars we made tonight.  Taste pretty good too.  There are rolled oats, flax seed, raw sunflower seed, crushed peanuts, wheat germ, dried fruit, honey, and a little brown sugar and vanilla.  Very good and healthy too!  I'm going to make them more often.  Very easy to make too.  Were waiting for our last batch to cool now so I can wrap them up and get them ready to take to the school tomorrow.  We sell them at the wrestling meet so the team can make some extra money.

We started potty training last night and I'm really excited.  We went shopping yesterday and I picked up some boxers for Nick and they  are so cute lol   Nick wanted them on and we put them on and he did great!  He wore them for three hours about before bed time and he went potty on the "big potty" and didn't wet his undies once in that time!  He was having fun wearing the boxers and I think he liked them :)  YA!!  Shell, I started this right after chat last night.   I'm going to start with a few hours at a time to see how he does. I would LOVE to see him go #2 in the potty that would be a huge sign.  I will put them on again when we wake up tomorrow and see how it goes. I know he goes #2 soon after he wakes up so I will have to watch him close.  Here are some pics of him in his cute boxers:





Ok day two of potty training is going awesome!  He actually went #2 in potty!  I was SO proud of him.  He has not worn a diaper all day so far and no accidents at all.  We are about to go to the store soon so I will be putting on a diaper for travel but as soon as we get home I will put his underwear back on.  I will have to pick up some more if he's going to continue this.  I asked him this morning if he wanted undies or diaper on and he said undies!  So I will let him choose and let him decide when he wants to train.  I don't want to force him.  Check out the morning and after bath pics below...yes, he's got the same undies on lol but they were only worn a few hours so they are clean.

New outfits for Nick

I just got back from the store...went to Oshkosh b gosh to shop for Nic. I spent 200 bucks but got some really cute stuff.  Here is an outfit I picked up for Nic at 40%off.  AND it's a summer outfit so he has one outfit for summer now at least lol  Well, actually two cuz I got another one sort of like it to match the shoes he has on .  Check out the picturea below:

                  *REST IN PEACE BOB PETERSON* 
Just got a phone call (from my niece) that my sister's x-boyfriend (also the father to her children) has died of cancer at 6:30 this morning :(  NOW my sister and two of her children went to go to an appointment and have not shown up for it.  The doctor called and asked my niece if they wanted to reschedule.  They were suppose to be there at 11 am and it's 2pm now and no one has heard from them.  And they have no cell phone at all.  I sure hope everything is ok. UPDATE:  They found them...they went shopping instead of going to apt! 

                          *ON A BETTER NOTE:*
  My son was chosen for the alternate varsity wrestler for the regional and State wrestling competitions!  He was so excited and so am I!  Although that means lots of traveling over the next few months (a parent has to go because they are two day events) and staying in hotel rooms.  I may be taking Nick along which means I will be VERY busy trying to keep an eye on him AND watch Stefan wrestle.  I'm so excited though!  He's only a Junior Varsity wrestler so this is very huge for him.  Maybe we can all go as a family!  That would be cool... i know they are weekend affairs.

This morning was not fun, I had to get up early because we were expecting a package (upgrade for our apple iphoto) and I missed it yesterday and they are going to try again today.  Nick woke up early too, I think he heard me out here.  SO now we start our day like this!  He usually isn't a happy child waking up lol



We went to the grocery store last night after we dried the clothes andi ended up getting 5 more boxes of Organic Rice Krispies!  They are only 1.50 a box!  They are good for a month and I figure if I eat them EVERY day I will be able to eat them all! lol  In fact I'm going to have breakfast right now.  Will update later again.

BELOW:  Nick wants me to KEEP the pull out sofa bed out!  He is not jumping and playing on it. HEY whatever keeps him active right?? AND one room clean and many to go! lol  I always seem to start here because this is where we spend a lot of our time.  I like it to be clean for sure lol.

Why is it that the "real" food never looks quite like the picture on the carton???  This was ok but it wasn't my favorite.  I would maybe have it on a day when I don't feel like cooking.  But not often.

Clean update! Remember how this looked yesterday Heather??  This tile counter is a catch ALL for everything!  I just wish it would look like this for a week straight.  That is my goal this week!  My son Stefan tiled most of  this by the way.  Didn't he do a fantastic job?  He also tiles our kitchen floor at our old house. I will have to get some pics on here to show you.
