Before and After

OMG I forgot to update my ticker on Friday!  I DID lose weight this week!
This of course is just my FIRST small goal...I do not plan on stopping at 250~!



I wanted to fill you McDonald's eaters in on the Trans Fats that come from their fries...We should ONLY consume 2-3 grams of Trans fats a DAY and just in an order of fries ALONE there are 8!  So beware of the Trans Fats!!!

I have some before and after pics for you... this is how messy our house can get in a weekend!  Just Friday it was CLEAN! But I ignored it all weekend because we had been shopping, watching movies etc....so Nick had a blast this last weekend!  See for yourself...

DINNER TIME!!!!

I ran into this potato and Seriously it is longer than 8 inches and wider then 4!  It was huge lol My spice rack is pretty large so you can get a feel for how large this potato was.  I know...silly thing to post a picture of but ya know!!!  I was excited! 



This was cubed pork chops with onion, spices, brown sugar and garlic fried in Virgin olive oil. 



Below was my dinner...Boiled potatoes, Cottage cheese, mixed veggies, and cubed pork chops!~  It was all awesome!  And I also had a cup of Organic skim milk.  This was also on a SMALL plate, can't really tell that from the pic.  SO all together I think I had a few oz of pork cubes, 1/2 cup cottage cheese, 3/4 cup veggies and a reg potato.

So much to tell

I have lots to tell...we will start with my sons wrestling update.  Well, Saturday the kids had a tournament.  This tournament is a "round robin" which I never understand ANYHOW...but this is real confusing.  My son lost his first round (there are three) and he won his second two.  ONE of the wins was against this boy who has been teasing him!!! YEAH  The match was awsome to watch even tho my heart was just about to give out with all the pounding cuz  I wanted him to beat this brat so badly! The funny thing was that Stefan had a smile on his face the whole time pretty much.  The coach asked the interpreter "IS HE SMILING!" lol  That was his last match.  SO this kid won two out of three and so did stefan and so did another boy.  So they were tied for first place.  The brat kid ended up with first place and Stefan took third...which is understandable since the brat kid pinned a kid and Stefan had not...but thats not what I don't understand...what I don't understand is that they told us that if Stefan had LOST to the second kid he wrestled he would have taken SECOND!!  WTH!!! (what the heck!)  They said then it would have been a totally different story.  Well, I just didn't get it...all i know is I'm SO happy that Stefan beat this kid even tho he took 3rd. 
Stefan said the kid had been really nice to him the last two days...and in fact he was talking with Stefan.  The more I watch them the more I think this kid was just treating him like "one of the guys"??  I dont' know.. I talked with his interpreter and she said that usually this kid is really nice and a decent kid...she knows him well.  So my son wants to wait to talk to the coach which I will respect but I told him as soon as he says something just tell him that he would like him to stop and if that doesn't work we will go to the coach. 

Ok next update is about going organic.  We have been converting to organic/all natural foods and we are pretty much there.  I cleaned out my cupboard and gave away all our "bad" foods with Hydrogenated oils in them.  We even upgraded our spices!  And I got a new spice rack! lol  It's cute.  Here it is:

 This is just some of the organic foods we got so far. 


I just had some Special K with the organic milk and 1/4 tsp organic sugar and it didn't taste any different then the regular milk...althought I did notice a difference in the sugar...as in MORE sugary and you don't need as much!  It tasted really good actually.  The jelly was fabulous...in fact we got peanut butter too and my son liked it more!  Here is an example of why we are going Organic:

Ingredients in Peanut butter:

Jif:  Roasted peanuts, sugar molasses partially hydrogenated vegitable oil fully hydrogenated vegetable oils, salt.

All natural ingredients: Peanuts   THATS IT!!

Now WHY do they find the need to take out ALL the natural peanut oils and replace them with Hydrogenated oils??? Because they make lots of money selling the healthier oils separate!! Totally unfair for the consumer if you ask me!  Hey I would pay a little more to LEAVE the natural oils in that's for sure! 

I'm seeing a big difference in other regular vs organic foods as well!  It's a huge difference and I"m glad were switching!  And we just found out that heath dept was urging everyone to REMOVE Hydrogenated oils way back in 1978!  Because it's so dangerous! 

McDonald's "SAID" they were going to take out the bad oils 4 yrs ago and STILL have NOT done it! 

Burgar King "Has NO comment"  What does that tell ya??

Wendy's did take it out of the fry oil BUT the fries are partially cooked.. PARTIALLY cooked in Hydrogenated oils BEFORE they ever reach wendys!  WHAT???

And we all wonder why were getting cancer and dying of obesity...wow I've been terrible at eating this crap but NO more!  I'm glad that were doing all this research because the more we do the more likely I will stick to this new diet.

OK have an update on my sons situation but I will update it after our movie

My baby has a canker sore and it's right behind his bottom lip :(  Baby ambosol seems to help a lot.  Dr says it should go away in 5 days.  Poor thing.  Every time I brush his teeth he cries and every time I wipe his face after meals he cries.  I feel so bad for him.

Ok this has nothing to do with weight loss, its about my son.  First let me tell you a little about him...

Stefan was born Profoundly deaf and they could never give me a reason as to WHY he was deaf.  He started school at 6 mos of age and I had to put him on the school bus in a car seat screaming every day!  It was horrible but I did it for him. I cried EVERY single day asking god why he choose HIM to have to deal with this handicap!
 He eventually got used to it but he struggled every day with signs and trying to learn English.  Reading was a real struggle daily for him.  Eventually with the help of a few good teachers who we were lucky enough to get when Stefan started 4th grade he became a very bright student.  He now gets straight A's and is a wonderful athlete. He just turned 16 and is a sophomore.  He has been in wrestling since 3rd grade and has been in track since 8th.  Last year he received a Varsity letter as a Freshman (he was SO proud of that)...he has always been a really good wrestler and that's why I don't want him to quit.  He has SO much potential and the coaches don't want him to quit either.   He is a WONDERFUL boy and does nothing wrong.  Is very respectful to everyone!  I can't even tell you how that makes me feel.
Wrestling is something he had planned to do through his Sr. year so you can imagine my surprise when he came home a few weeks ago telling me he wants to quit wrestling!  This child LOVES wrestling with all his heart.  I asked him why and he said it was because he wanted to spend more time with NIck (his baby brother) now I did not believe him from the start because I know how much he adores his sports.  Well today I found out the "real" reason.  It is because two of his TEAMMATES have been calling him a FU***** deaf Fag!   And a few other names in the locker room after practice.  They know he's deaf of course so they get right in front of him to be sure he knows what they are saying. That to me is harassment!? Do you agree??  I am SO pissed right now I could just go up to those boys tomorrow and slap both of them.  I am calling the coach right away in the morning to try to put a stop to this as well as the principle. I hope I"m doing the right thing by this but I can't see letting this go on.  It has not stopped yet by him just ignoring them so it's time to step in and do it myself. My hopes is to get these boys kicked off the team.  Kids like these should NOT be on any team in my opinion.  I just pray that I don't make it worse for him! 

Ok it's late and I'm done ranting nowand I will update more tomorrow and of course have more pics...I took some tonight :)

This week so far

It's been an ok week so far although I have to admit it could have been better.  I did NOT have regular soda OR go out to eat so in the long run I have been doing better all around.  I watched a show last night called "You on a diet" with DR. Oz  and it was really informative.  Made me want to go through my cupboard and clean it out which I think I will do tomorrow.  I am also buying the book also titled "You on a diet"  It has listed all the good foods and bad foods.  

My son has a wrestling tournament tonight at a rival school about 15 min away from his school...I plan on leaving as soon as hubby gets here but I hope I make it in time to see him wrestle...either way I have to pick him up after the meet anyhow and he needs dinner.  I will let you know how it goes.

Update on my son's wrestling:  He didn't have to wrestle today :( But he does on Saturday so I will be updating then.  Varsity team won 66 to 9  Though!  Yeah for them!  It was awesome and tons of fun to watch.

This one is a real winner...Nick is watching his favorite movie "Cars" and he is watching it on a clothes basket!  He made up that arrangement on his own.  AND  NO he does not like clothes!  Every time I come home from work he is in a diaper only!  I don't let him wander around in only his diaper so he really takes advantage of the guys watching him.    What a cutie!  Check out his long hair!  Isn't it just adorable.  I want to let it grow a bit more.

Good Morning, my plans were to exercise this morning...especially after seeing this!  This was taken off my balcony this morning about 7ish.



Then my Baby Nick woke up.  I think he had a dream because he woke up just screaming and usually he wakes up happy and talking.  Poor thing!  Anyway, I wanted to shard a photo from our "Big Toy Day" from a few days ago.  Nick got a Shake and Go Race Track and he loved it.  He also got a Big wheels DORA bike (grandma's idea) and he got a stuffed dora doll (also grandmas idea) but I have to say, he loves both!  lol  I feel that at 2 it's not going to do harm.

SO my plan later today is to be able to get on the treadmill which I will most likely be able to do because usually Nick likes to watch me and play in his play area we have downstairs for him.  I will update later as to what happened with that.  So far I am doing awesome today with having Special K for breakfast and I already got water in too!
