Spring Cleaning sucks!

Well as you can see by my subject line, I am spring cleaning and I totally HATE it! lol I do love how it looks after its done but like hubby always tells me...I over do. Instead of just picking up a little every day and having it look OK I have to have it perfect.  I hate piles of this or piles of that.  So my house is either messy or really clean lol.  I am totally done downstairs now (except windows I need hubbys help for that) I even cleaned under our stair storage area and in the laundry room.  I got rid of all the old paint used by the previous owners...most of it was car paint.  They sure did leave a lot of junk behind.  The spring after we moved in we cleaned out the woods next to our house because there were TONS of medal old car parts and stuff like that.  It looked horrible and we are woods/country type people and like it to look nice not full of garbage.  It took us weeks off and on cleaning to get it all out for garbage pick up and we still have behind our pole shed to clean out!  There is old air conditioners and even a cement mixer!!  Well, I better get back to the main part of the work now.  This will probably take me a week to go through too!  It's not as unorganized as the basement was though so maybe not.  I am going through EVERYTHING and getting rummage sale stuff set out to sell so that means going through every cupboard and drawer too.  I will take pics when I'm all done. Later, for my break I will have Nick dress up in some cute outfits so you can see him.  It was so funny, I will show you what he looked like last night (he dressed himself)  Very cute...so keep an eye out for that.

WOW I have been gone for several days!  I miss it here!  Well, to update...Bailey is still with us but no changes at all...still very sore and blind and deaf.  That poor ol dog has just been wonderful even though he is not feeling well.  You know how some old dogs will potty in the house...well, he has never done that and he has been the dog of our dreams and we will miss him so much.  Nick and I have been spending every day downstairs by him because he can't do the stairs anymore...our main level is upstairs.  He knows we are there by him and that makes him a little more at ease I think. 
I have been spring cleaning like crazy down there since I have nothing better to do!  It really looks nice and smells nice too!  Our daughter moved back home AGAIN! lol  This time she is for sure staying until school is over.  She promised me...and that is the only way she can use her car to go to/from school/work.  Her car has been parked in our driveway and we have NOT given in this time.  She has been doing wonderful in school but I'm afraid it's too late to be able to get her diploma with her class.  It's sad but I think she really learned her lesson. I think I'm more sad that she is because I have really been looking forward to sending out the grad invites...guess I will have to save the excitement for my son's graduation.  Her grades have been on a steady incline and she has not missed a day of school for a while now so I'm very proud of her for that.  I will be so proud of her if she sticks to this and gets her diploma.    Something I never did...I just gave up.   Thank god I met hubby who made me go back to school.  I wish she could meet someone who will make her see how important this is for her. 
My son is doing great and he has no more missing work.  It's very rare that he has missing work but last week he had two!  His grades are now back up to A's B's.  He freaks out when they fall below a B.  Last week he got two medals in his track meet.  He's just my born athlete!  I'm so proud of him. He also got invited to go to the Dells with a bunch of guys...he was thrilled since usually only the girls will invite him places.  POOR BOY!  lol  Today he told me that a few of the girls came up to him an started signing to him. He was thrilled that they took the time to learn it just for him.  I can see that smile now! lol  He NEVER stops smiling!  EVER! 
Well, we are awaiting another new baby coming this week sometime WE HOPE!   My niece Heather is expecting her first baby girl on the 15th...usually she goes before the due date.  The other new baby is doing great although the new mom can't seem to put him down and she even sleeps with him.  Nick is as crazy as ever lol  He has really enjoyed being downstairs because he can go outside and play in his sandbox and I can see him from the couch down there.  Well, I think that's about it...I will update as much as possible but will be spending all our time downstairs by my doggie until he is gone.  :(  I know it's coming soon and I really have to be aware when it's time because I don't want to be selfish and just keep him around because it's to sad not to!  This is when I"m glad to have hubby around...hes the "strong" one of the bunch and he will make sure Bailey does not suffer.

Bailey is hanging in there...I am about to go down and give him his aspirin and spend some time with him. I have clothes to fold anyhow down there.  Yesterday was a very crazy day!  I got tons done and didn't turn on the tv one time!  I was proud of myself. My goal is to watch less tv (nick and I) and do more stuff outdoors now that it's getting warmer out.  We also worked on learning colors yesterday, he really loves sitting in his room doing that sort of thing.  His sign language is REALLY coming along...it's so cute!  Yesterday Stefan did now hand in two assignments for school and Cory was giving him a lecture, and Nick was standing in between them just signing away and lecturing both of them!  Oh to have the video camera hooked up for that one!  I just had to laugh and then it  ruined the whole "we are very mad at you" point!  Another funny about Nick:  Last night my sister called me and it was a little after nine...and Nick had just got out of his bath and he was literally begging me to put him to bed!  I love that!  lol  He couldn't make it more easy for me...he barely made it through kisses, Hi fives, power hits, and I love you signs (after brushing his teeth)! lol  YES, we go through that every night!  Thats why he gets angry when Cory isn't home at bed time. It ruins his routine and we all know how important that is.  WELL, today looks like rain so that means its going to be an in house day for all of us.  AND it's so cold out!  It's only 40 here!  BRRR  Where the heck is spring?

Sad Day

Update below:

Well this morning was not a good morning at all.  First Nick was up before 6am so that was not cool.  Then my husband went down to wake up our son and he said Bailey was not doing good.  Bailey is our old dog who is sixteen now so we know the time is coming but we have had him since we got our First house sixteen years ago and he was this sweet little puppy who turned into one of the "family".  He is now blind TOTALLY and deaf. He is still trying to get used to getting around.  The vet told us not to move anything and he will get used to finding his food ect.  This morning I had to get up and carry him outside to go potty because he is so stiff until his aspirin takes hold.  I try to tie him outside so he doesn't wander into the woods and get lost but he just whines at me. He hates being chained...he has never been on a chain in his life...we either had a fenced in yard or now living out here they were free to wander on our 20 acres which they love!  Yesterday Bailey managed to wander up to Grandma and Grandpas house to visit.  I think Nick and i will go for a walk with him today so he can be where he loves to be.  I was watching him from the balcony while he wandered to grandmas and he was bumping into about every tree there was.  Grandma said he made it up there though.  I had to take the van to go get him because it was late and I didn't want him wandering in the dark because it would be a lot harder to find him in the dark!  I"m calling the vet today to see if there is anything they could give him so he's not so stiff.  If he's in too much pain we will have to put him down.  I so dread that day :(  I think this summer will be a sad one for us. 

Update:  Well Nick and I spent the morning outside with Bailey...walking combing him out, shaving him for summer, and pulling ticks.  We were slow to get started on our meds for ticks and now I regret it!  I didn't find many on them though so that was amazing.  I however did find mice droppings in our garage!!!!  YUK!  So I'm going to have hubby put a trap in there. I don't want mouse droppings on our counter top in our garage...that's just sick. lol  I gave Bailey his aspirin so he's doing better now.  Come later this evening though he will be hurting again. 
Later today I'm going to try to give him a bath.  After shaving him he's got to be itchy!  I'm still not all the way finished with his shave but he got tired of it and so I am giving him a little break.  I will have to take a picture of him when he's all done so he can sport his new look.  I will go back out and try to do some more when Nick goes down for his nap which is now.  Will update later on. 

Just an update

New baby is doing great...he had to stay in the hospital another day because of Jaundice but he's doing very well.  Of course mommy stayed with him :)  My days have been busy...still having to run to the laundry mat to dry clothes but at least I can wash them here.  My life is way back to normal when it comes to the water problems lol.  The last two days I have been working on my daughters room and cleaning and putting up a new bed rather then the water bed which takes up way to much energy staying plugged in for no reason (not to mention its a king size).  SO that looks nice now.  Nick has really been enjoying the nice weather outside...he wants to LIVE outdoors!  My housework has been lacking because we have been spending a lot of time outside.  Today is a cleaning day so he's a little mad at me lol.  He can play out on the patio but he likes to ride his bike down the driveway.   Stefan finally got his class ring yesterday :) He was happy, but then he puts it on and says this feels funny GRRR now he prob won't even wear the thing!  They make the boys rings so huge though!  Well, my sis and my niece have been really SLACKING on the entries here lately!  Where R U GIRLS???  lol  OK well I may update later but not sure but just wanted to say hi. 

By the way...Mandy, I have EVERY season of Little house lol I'm a nut when it comes to that show. Glad there are others out there who appreciate the GOOD shows too!  Charles Ingalls, what a man huh!?? lol  Hubby comes pretty close ;)

New Baby

First of all I have to say, Linda Your right about the George and Callie thing for sure. I was tearing up to when she told Izzy that :(  They always seem to get affairs involved with every good show.  Boy how far television has come since the all time great "Little House on the Prairie (my all time fav show)"

Next,  my rummaging didn't go AS PLANNED but it was good.  The sale that had all my son's clothes at was not active this year.  BUT we got a bed for our guest room, a toy box for Nick for only 4 bucks...will show pics later...and then we got a really super nice BIG file cabinet for my hubby's business for only 25 bucks!  It's one of those nice industrial heavy duty ones. I was so proud of myself! lol  The one like it at office max or best buy was right around $350.  Cory thought I should have gotten a receipt so they could claim it on their business taxes so I went back to ask them lol. 

NOW for the exciting news...We have a new baby in the family!!!  My niece Samantha had her baby last night at 10:18pm.  It was an hour an 1/2 drive but I would not miss it for the world.  It was the first baby I actually got to SEE come out!  WOW what a miracle!  I was in the room with my other Niece but I was busy recording it so I didn't get to see it real well like I wanted to.  So this was really exciting.  We are going to see him again today :)  I got her a dvd all ready ( I snuck a little video even though I wasn't suppose to ) Here are a few pictures for you to see the new bundle of joy...he's beautiful!  His name is Ethan Bradley and he was just under 8 lbs but almost a month early!  He wasn't due till May 21st.

Hey I got an owie!

Ok my toe really hurts STILL...last week I ran into my hubby's shoe because he was IN MY WAY and I was on a mission!  OH man it hurt something awful!   Here is a pic so you can see for yourself...this reminded me of Heather (from Georgia) and her very sore little toe! Ok it's a little blurry but you can see my piggy there with the nail ALMOST OFF!  I have to wear a band aid to bed so It doesn't get stuck on our blanket!  GRR i get chills just thinking about it.  Hehe my foot looks huge..hubby took the picture for me.  Pretty funny looking!

Well, I'm feeling a little better but still things going on that I have no control over and it's making me depressed!  My son was off for the day so him and I and the baby went out bumming today and hit a few rummage sales.  There are huge ones tomorrow at 7am so my MIL and I and Stefan will hit them all day long lol Last year we were gone until like 5pm lol AND they were all in town.  Should be fun...we hit the same one every year...this lady's son works at Abercrombie and Fitch and we buy all his stuff that he needs for school.  Very nice!  She usually wants 5 bucks for shirts and 7 for pants but when you consider what they would cost NEW in the store that's a great price!  The good thing is that we get there with the old lady's (bight and early) who are looking at them saying OMG that is WAY to high lol.  We spent over 150 bucks last year just there alone but we got 3 huge boxes of abercrombie and Hollister stuff. Won't be updating to much tomorrow...will before bed though to let ya know what we found.  OH, my poor son has SO many problems with so many girls liking him lol POOR KID!  He is such a nice person so he's always nice to everyone and I think they take it the wrong way sometimes.  He just adores his girlfriend though and keeps saying how beautiful she is lol. That is just the sweetest thing.  He said every time he sees her she is more beautiful.  We like her too...she is good for Stefan.  She's a good kid and doesn't smoke/ drink all that sort of crap.  Someone Icould see Stefan with later in life :)  OH we went car shopping today for Stefan...he found a yellow mustang he wants to buy :) I told him he could as long as he could make the payments...which he should be able to do.  SO when he's 18 watch for pics of the yellow mustang! 

OMG Kallie, I SO remember those days at charlottes house ...especially when Robert and I were hiding in the closet and my BUTT got all wet form something that was leaking lol!  Those were some fun times...we were just babies back them!   ALthough we didn't think we were.  Us all cool drooling over Rick Springfield! OHH LALA 
ON MORE THING...who thinks that Izzy should be with Mc George??  OH I love them together and when I first started watching the show I thought those two should be together.  I like Callie with Mc Steamy.

UPDATE:  Ok, for anyone who has children you would understand the feeling of pure horror if you find out your child has cancer!  Well read on and help us help this little boy from Canada receive his wish!  He would like to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for receiving the most cards.  This was posted on a friend of mines journal and I copied it so Please do the same so we can get more people to send cards so that this very sick child's dream can come true.  AND it's fun to do!  I have mine ready to go and will mail it off tomorrow :)

Recently, one of our retailers contacted us about 7-year-old Shane, who’s been diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia and is currently at the Children’s Hospital in Ontario, where he’ll undergo chemo until June. The Make-a-Wish Foundation asked what his special wish would be–well, Shane is going to be 8 years old on May 30th and his wish is to be in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting the most birthday cards. He needs to get over one million cards. (I love a kid who thinks big!)

Want to help? Then send a birthday card (or two) to Shane at the address below. Please help if you can–I imagine this is a pretty big deal for a kid who’s gone through much more than anyone should ever have to. Thanks in advance!
