The month of Oct!

This month was a real sucky month!  We've had four relatives pass away this month and I turned another year older!  My daughter and her boyfriend broke up and my son is in pain right before wrestling season starts!  OH and did I mention my baby turned into the devil over the past two weeks??  It has all started when I stopped giving him naps and I started giving naps again yesterday and it DID make a difference so we will see if it continues to work.   Oh and this month we also learned that our Boxer may have a fainting disorder!  Seriously!  He will fall over for no reason at all and just lay there for a few sec and then get up and act totally normal.  lol It's funny but it's not ya know.  I hope I catch it on video some time soon.  he's only done it three times so far and this week not at all. 

Well we went shopping yesterday (my hubby and I) and I picked up the new Britney Spears CD (my husband would NOT go into the store with me because i purchased this cd lol)  and I love it.  Ya i know! lol But I think she has a terrific voice and I know she is having problems but hey don't we all!?  I thought it was kind of funny that she ran over that reporters foot!  She's young but I'm sure she will come around.

What else has been going on?  Well not much at all!  Same ol Same ol!  I'm hoping to get back to journaling every day now that the busy month of Oct is now over!  I hope you all are doing well and I'm sure happy to see that  Heather got a laptop and is back :) 

It's COLD

Hello all who reads my journal.  The last few days have been so cold.  The sun is out today so that really helps warm it up.  Wow there has just been nothing going on the past few days and it's been pretty boring to say the least.  I have not been to a ww meeting in  a few weeks because of the funerals and some other things that were going on. My MIL has been out of town off and on for a while now.  I think she's back now for a while.  We do plan on going to weigh in on Sat.  I just hope it's a good one! 

Remember when Nick hurt his toenail?  Well, his nail just now fell off!  yesterday...but it's still hanging on my a piece of skin.  We tried pulling but it's on there pretty good!  I thought I would leave it to fall off on it's own.  This is about all the new news I have going on around here lately.  I do have some new pics I can post but my camera is in the van and cory took the van to work today.  So maybe later I can add them.  Hope you all are having a great fall season so far. 

OMG!!!!!

OK last night was NOT a good night.  Stefan had let the dogs our for their last potty break of the night and guess what!  They got sprayed by a skunk~!  YES, OH my did it smell.  They must have gotten sprayed very close to the door because the whole house smelled! It just traveled on through the house!  It's not bad today...either that or I'm getting used to it lol.  This happened the first year we lived here too!  Our old dog Bailey got sprayed and he smelled for a year afterward..even tho we washed him with the peroxide mix!  It wasn't a bad bad smell but if you hugged him you could still smell it.  Yikes!  I love hugging Max and I don't want him to smell for a year! :(    SOOO last night the dogs spent the night in the garage and that is where they still are until I can get them washed.  Not sure how exactly I'm going to do that yet since it's so cold here today.  Last time we did it outside with the hose but it was in the 70's then.  NOT the 40's and soon to be 30's here today.  The temps are dropping as I write.  I may have to bring them into the shower downstairs.  I just don't know!! GRRR

I guess I can be thankful that they were not let in the house like last time.  They ran everywhere in the house before we could catch them and the house smelled for weeks afterward!  lol IT was SOO bad! I mean Bailey was literally dripping skunk stuff!  No kidding!  I had to scrub the floor with peroxide too. I don't think it was as bad of spray as last time at least.  Max's head smells but I don't think his body smells that bad.  And cubby I think just got the left over smells after the skunk had gone. 

Now on to something cute...today Nick and I had to take Stefan to school so we stopped in the gas station for a soda before we went home.  Well, Nick went for the sixlets (his fav all time candy) and I had told him last night that if he didn't  pick up his toys he was not going to get them when we stopped at the gas station the next day. Well, he didn't pick up his toys and I'm trying to STICK to the "when I say NO it's NO" thing because otherwise you end up with very naughty kids yaknow... so anyway, when we went into the gas station he went right for the sixlets and I told him No, Nick remember that I told you you could not have them today?  you did not pick up your toys?  Remember?  He says to me and I quote "Oh, ok mommy sorry mommy" and then he giggled!  I was like "WHAT?" no complaining or whining?  lol  I was just so proud of him. And the lady at the gas station was amazed and told me that was the first time she ever seen a kid act like that the whole time she worked there lol.  I could just see my head swell!  lol  Once in a while he does that but then we do have our bad days too. But I stick to my guns when it comes to saying no and meaning no.  It does work! 

Well, today I get to go pick up my hubby at the airport.  Not till 9:15pm tho :(  I wish it were earlier but oh well.  I'm taking Nick with me so he can see the plane land.  I'm going to try to remember the camera so I can get a good pic of him running to daddy like I know he will.  Cute!  I love that he loves his dad so much!  The other two didn't do that..they were mommy's kids.  BUT dad didn't spend as much time with them as he does with Nick either.  He wishes he had now.  He feels bad...but we were both so young...he was only 19 and had two kids already and I was 20  It was not easy for either of us.  considering he was only 19 he was a pretty good dad really.  Better then most 19 yr olds. 

Well, I better get back to work...I have slacked on the cleaning around her while cory was gone lol now it's time to catch up. I want the house clean when he comes home. 

Sooting killing six

Well today is a sad day for MANY parents, grandparents, family, friends and acquaintances.  The funeral's began yesterday  and will go on all day today for the young victims of Crandon Wi.  I know the shootings made CNN so most of you prob heard of this horrific shooting already... 3/4's of these victims were related to us in some way.  The girlfriend of the shooter was a cousin of my FIL.   Very sad day last Sunday and this whole week. I will not be going to the funeral's because my husband is gone this week, or we would have went. My husband grew up in the small town and I grew up about 20 min away from there.  We do have another funeral this Sat for my husbands uncle who was pretty close to us. We will be attending that one.  Another sad weekend.  Other then that...another boring day today.  Had to run my son TO school and pick him up AFTER school.  And then stop by the store and pick up some bagels and cream cheese.  Tonight is Greys so I will be taping and watching that.  Well, I may not watch it but I will tape it.  Another show to watch when hubby comes home lol  There are none on that we watch on Friday.  Hope this finds you all well.  I sure hope Missies feeling better, have not seen her yet today.  And hope that Linda's storm is over quickly.  Have a good one! 

A movie of our pup

Ok here is a video of our puppy Max and a pup Alex had brought over for a little bit. They are the same age 5 mo and they loved each other~!   Normally we don't allow this kind of rough housing in the house with the dogs but they were having so much fun! 

Today was so boring!  I sat here at home all day and then at 3 I went to pick Stefan up from school and that was about it. We came home ate dinner and cleaned a bit and then I got on the computer.  That was our day!  I am taping all our shows so I can watch them this weekend with Cory.

Football season/fun up north!

Another long lost post.  It's been football season and I can tell.  I'm watching the games...even ones I prob shouldn't be watching lol  I think I'm hooked!  Packers won their last game but lost the one before that which was depressing since they should have won!  Oh well, they have a 5 and 1 record so I will take that lol.  The new season shows have also been on so with all that I have not had a lot of time for computer fun!  I'm gong to try to sneak some posts in once in a while so I dont' get to far behind. I have been reading and commenting but not doing much on my own! 

Whats new???  Well I think I have some sort of ear thing going on.  Can't hear well in my right ear and have ringing in it.  I have to get to the doctor to get it looked at. I can hear fluid in there big time tho.  Ummm...Stefan is still doing VERY well in school.  Alex has been coming around a lot lately with her boyfriend Pat. I really like him...he's polite and good to her. 

Cory is out of town for the whole week...he's in Nashville TN.  I miss him..especially when our shows are on and I have to watch without him.  AND I'm scared at night...hearing things that I usually don't hear when there is a man in the house.  lol  This is the only time I hate being in the country.  Alex, pat and their friend came out to the house last night and had sweet and sour chicken with me...then I called her later after they left because I was feeling so dizzy and wanted her to stay at the house with me just in case.  It came on fast and was gone by morning...not sure what that was about. 
My MIL is also gone all week so It sure has been quiet around here with just Nick and I during the  day and Nick, Stefan, and I at night.

That is all the pics I got that weekend because we were to busy having fun I guess. I didn't take that many.  I should have taken more!  This weekend was SO hot and humid up North which was really weird for this season and something SO funny happened.  A bee had flew down my sisters shirt and we were outside...she whipped her shirt off and was running around in her bra! lol  The neighbor got a show.  He happened to be outside too. haha  It was a fun weekend and I also got to see/pet a wolf.  My ex boyfriend (he happens to be a cousin of my sisters husband AND my best friends brother) called my sister and asked if I wanted to see her...he knows i love wolves... so I of course said yes! lol  She was beautiful.  I wish I had taken a pic of her but didn't even think of it!  I think that's about all that has been going on around here. I will try to post more often! 

Weigh in and MORE

WOW it's been A LONG time since I updated!  I have been So busy around here with "fall cleaning" and we had company last weekend and prob's with the daughter and etc..etc...  Just way to much to do during the nice weather.  We got all of our closets shelves up and they look awesome!  I'm so happy to have so much more storage space now.  Our closets sucked!  All we had were two poles to hang clothes on in each closet and so we added wire shelves to all six closets. 

Weigh in went awesome last week Sat and I lost 1.8 lbs!  This week I have slacked off so I'm not expecting anything this Sat.  I can only hope to stay the same!  I hope!
Today is going to be a perfect day since weigh in is the following morning. At least I can hope for SOME good news if I stay on plan today. 

My MIL's brother in law is not doing well so I'm guessing there will be a funeral to go to very soon.  I hope things go well for his wife and everyone involved! 

I got bad news about my father as well...my sister called me (he lives with her) and he recently had a doctors apt and they told him he had a tear in his aorta and he needs to have surgery done to repair it.  He is refusing surgery and he said he has lived his life and will not go through that kind of surgery.  I'm not sure how long that means he has...I mean I know it's bad but you never know when it will give out.  Sometimes he is such a foolish man!  He hates doctors and hospitals and he will do ANYTHING to stay out of them.  He is 81 and had made VERY few visits to see any doctor...so I guess you can say he's pretty lucky that nothing bad had happened to him before now.  All we can do now is pray for him and hope he changes his mind! 
Other then that there is nothing going on here...we are enjoying our new shows that have started...Grey's of course, Journeyman, Bionic Women, Kid Nation, Biggest Loser, Hero's and Life are the main ones we watch.  It's kind of fun this season...there were a few new shows this year so we thought we would give them a try.  We love Journeyman and Life a lot.  Kid Nation has been getting interesting too.  Well, I will be sure to take pics of my new closets andshow you what a great job we did ;)  Watch for them later.  I hope everyone is having a great autumn so far!!  I know I am!  The weather has been great around here!
