WHAT??

Did I hear right?  AOL is closing journals?  WHY?  I have a lot of stuff I wanted to save in this journal about when Nic did things etc... and my chicken journal too UGH!  Do we get to at least save our stuff?  I'm going to have to get hubby after this so I can copy all my stuff someplace.  OH CRAP!  I'm mad now.  I was at blogspot and then I moved here and really like it.  Guess I will have to move back to blogspot now.  I think I can figure out how to do pics there now.   Well, it's been almost a month since I posted anything...for one I have been really ill...double ear infection and I also have a sick chicken I have been tending to.  She was jumped on not once but twice from birds jumping down off the roost in the morning.  Poor thing!  Now I don't know if she has a broken neck or what.  She eats and I help her drink so hopefully she will make it.  Well, have supper on but if anyone knows if we can save our stuff please let me know.

Stefan update/my daughters fire/Nic school/Nic dentest/& a pic.

Ok well I have really been away a while now!  I have just been so busy with Stefan not being here it ups my work load around here a lot.  I have been trying to keep my house cleaning/laundry/garden/yard work/garage/chickens/and time to everyone all done and it's just not working that way!  My house is still a mess most times and my laundry piles up and I do it when I have  some time.  It's just been crazy really.  The only thing that calms me down and makes me smile are my Nic and my chickens :D  Nic has been running back and forth from home to grandmas and back again.  He loves it.   Winter is sure to depress him!  It's been SO cold in the mornings too around here. 

Ok so first I will start off with Stefan.  He has been just LOVING his new school and is on the Varsity football team there and they had a game in Iowa this last weekend which means he didn't come home at all.  They won the game :D  It's been the longest I have went without seeing my son.  Very strange not having him here and I'm still going through withdrawal over that one.   The stinker doesn't even text me that often!   I think I got four texts from him the whole two weeks!  And two of them are excitement about the Packer game!  LOL  Do you think he is getting his own life now?  That makes me sad...he used to be a mommy's boy.  His sister was the off and running never want to see you again girl!  All I can say is I'm sure glad I have Nic or I would be going through a really tough time here.  
Got a letter in the mail the other day stating that Stefan has an academic awards medal to accept at the end of Sept again this year :D (this was for last years grades, he also got one the year before) We are so proud of him.   He wants to go and say bye to everyone at the same time but not sure if he will be able to.  I can pick it up in the office but he really would love to make it for that.   I'm working on that.  We would have to drive him back to school after the ceremony which means driving in the dark both ways, which means getting really tired on the road!  So maybe I can take him back early the next morning so I can at least drive in the daylight. 

OK on to my daughter...she had a fire in the house night before last.  It was a kitchen fire that started at their stove while making bacon!  She put a plate over the fire but it was under the stove top so it was getting the air it needed to thrive.  It kept getting larger so they called the fire dept and by the time they got there the fire was out.  I guess they kept hitting it with a towel.  WHEW, that could have been bad!   Other then that she has started school  and got a new job and is paying her own rent.  So I'm so proud of her.  I hope she keeps it up. 

Nic went to school a few days ago and did great!  It was the mandatory 3 yr old pre school orienetation.  He did all what  he was suppose to do PLUS ALL the 5 yr old things! :D  So that means  he's free of school till kindergarden!  :D   He even helped many of the other kids do what they were suppose to do.  This little girl was looking at Nic for help and he showed her where each object was suppose to go. 
Than yesterday was his first Dental apt and it went GREAT!  My kids have always  just been so cooperative with things like doctors/dentests etc.   He was a big boy the whole time back there.  The only time he cried was right in the waiting area when the hygenist told him he was going to a picture machine.  After the MRI picture machine that scared the daylights out of him :(  He thought he had to get the needle in the arm again and everything.  As soon as I explained it to him  he was fine from that time on.  I got to go back with him to watch and he did whatever they told him to do.  They even got all the xrays they  needed right away which usually they wait because the kids are screaming about it.  I was so proud! :D  He left there with clean teeth and NO cavities!  They even told us we were doing good on flossing inbetween the teeth :)
OK who has been watching the NEW 90210?  OH I am in love with that show!  I used to watch the older 90210 and the same people are in this show but of course Kelly, Brenda and Brandon are much older now and Kelly is a teacher.  Her mother is still an alcholic and she has a sister names silver who I feel SO sorry for.  Just a great show!  OH and now we have cable!  AND a DVR too so I can tape them :D And I have!  My dad is paying for it.

Kraft Mac-N-Cheese VS Value brand

What is up with Kraft Mac and cheese lately?   They suck!  I used to like it but now it's just become really watery if you follow their directions.  And if you don't it's to gooey.   I have been getting the value brand mac and cheese...not only is it cheaper but the cheese it in make the mac n cheese just right.  Not to runny and not to gooey. 

Has anyone else noticed this?  Maybe it's just me...but I just don't like the kraft brand anymore.  Wonder if they changed something. 

Ok well our company is still here and the guys are at work and I'm watching the boys.  They are getting along PRETTY good...they have their spats...usually Nic who starts something...taking something away from Devlin cuz he doesn't want to share it...or just playing way to rough.  Devlin is not a rough kid at all and sometimes Nic scares him.   Stefan and Alex fought and wrestled for the first 2 years of Nic's life and he in turn wrestles with HIS 17 yr old brother who gets pretty rough with him so he learned that.  He used to tackle kids in the play land to wrestle with them...not realizing they didn't WANT him to do that.   It was funny but yet embarrasing at the same time.  Once I explained to the parents that he was just "playing" they were ok.   At first I got looks that would kill!  LOL  Yes, I did stop him right away and told him that was not exceptible with kids who did not want him to do that. 
Well, just had a prob with the boys now LOL  They were jumping on Stefans bed and Nic bumped Devlins nose...we all know how that hurts!  Devlin was mad at Nic and Nic told him he was sorry so now all is well.  :D 

Last night for dinner they boys sat at the table and Devlin says to Nic "Nic, how was ur day at work?"  LOL  Nic say's "I don't wok"  Says it in that way.  Too funny. Sometimes those guys can come up with the funniest things. 

OH OH I hear "CANNONBALL" coming from the boys in Nic's room...I would imagine that means they are jumping off the headboard to his bed.  BRB! 

Ok well, I'm gonna get off here for now and get my cleaning done and keep the boys entertained for a while.   I have the tv turned off so they can use their imagination.  And they sure are!   OH OH someone else crying now...it's Nic  Devlin accidentally tripped him and he fell on his face.   Devlin came in to give him a hug...cute.  Ok see ya all later :D  All is well so far here with us.  Tomorrow we are heading to Delevan to drop Stefan off.   He's excited...I'm doing all his laundry now and getting him packed up for the week.  Just have to wait for my dad to wake up now so I can get his suitcase...I store them in that closet so we have room in the others for other things we use more often.

Here is a cute video...when cory leaves for work he says "nic, I'm going to work now" and he comes running and the first time I seen that I told Cory it looks like hes running full speed and leaping off the steps!  I had to get a video of that.  All is well here and everyone is doing good.  Stefan leaves for school this Sunday :(  I will miss him but I have to say our food bill is going to go WAY down lol.  He will eat a 1/2 loaf of my baked bread in one sitting.  He leaves early becasue he has football practice the week before school actually starts.  And he want's to stay the first weekend there so he and the quarterback can practice.  It's cool he knows most of the kids who go there.  He also met a girl at the deaf picnic who is going to be going there too.  He said she was really pretty and plans to get to know her lol.  Good thing he's single.  We were in town yesterday at my neices house and his Xgirlfriend came to see him and say good bye. 
OK well, were getting company today so I have to get some cleaning done.  It was clean yesterday but today it's distroyed!

Ok finally got those pics up here. 
This first picture is about 2pm Saturday.  It was the first time he was able to get out of bed...after being medicated he was able to walk to this car with a neck brace.  Still not supporting his head totally yet as you can see while I push him down the hall way.





An hour later maybe less here he is supporting his head without the pillow.





And now without neck help at all besides his brace.



Alex and Pat came to see Nic and  here he is with his sister making a poster for his door that says "Nic's room"

Here is what Linda got Nic:  It's wonderful and I even used it once...OK twice!  But then Cory  yelled at me!  :( 










I want to also share some other news.  Remember Stefan's X-girlfriend Dawn?  Well she just told Stefan she was pregnant :(  She is due in October.  It's NOT Stefan's baby of course...he hasn't see her in over a year...since her prom actually.  Her boyfriend dumped her once he found out she was pregnant.  She asked Stefan to go to the hospital with her when she has the baby.  They have always been real close even tho they were not dating.  I feel terrible for her and hope that she does ok.  I told Stefan if he wanted to go there he could.  I would even go with him. 

Here is the one and only video I was able to get of Nic in the hospital because we did not have our camera card :(  Alex could not find it when we sent her home for some things.  I forgot I moved it.

News on my older son&why did I get all wheepy in front of my dad?

I don't ever think I mentioned it or not but my older son who is 17 is leaving for school on Sept 2.   I think most of you already know that Stefan is deaf...well, he decided to give up wrestling (the only thing keeping him at his hearing school) and go to a school for the deaf.   He was going to go last year but he just wasn't ready yet.  He made the decision a few weeks ago and I'm proud of him.  I think it will be a good move for him.  He is so outgoing and does have a lot of friends at  his school but he is just tired of not being able to 'talk' to people without having to pull out a tablet and pen.  I don't blame him!  It would be frustrating.  He wants to just be able to talk to his friends...here he will be able to...everyone is deaf...everyone uses sign language, even the teachers!  It's going to be a good move.  He stays there his entire Sr. year and comes home on weekends.  He has a dorm room there for the week.  He can bring his truck...he's not sure yet if he will.   It's a very small town and they can walk anywhere they want within 15 min.  He will be about 3.5 hours away from us and it's going to be hard on me for a while I know that.  But I think it's a good move for him.  I hope he likes it there!  They will also get him into a job where he can make his own money :)  And they also have ACT/SAT prep courses there.   They kids are allowed to stay until they are 21 if they feel they want to.  They can take classes there that may transfer to the college of his choice. 
Our kids are thankfully covered under my hubby's ins until they are aged 25 so that's a relief to me!  That gives them a chance to finish up college and get a job where they can get their own Ins. 

NOW A BIG THANK YOU TO A VERY SPECIAL JLANDER! 

Well, yesterday my dad comes into the house with our mail...he always gets our mail for us...in that mail clutter laid a big box.  My dad says...ya got more chickens I think (He's used to Kelly sending me FREE eggs to hatch (another VERY special Jlanders here ;)!   I walked over to the box and it had Nic's name on it :)  I called Nic at grandmas and told him he had a box here!   I read the card and this is what it read:

"I'm sorry to hear you had to be in the hospital Nic.  Feel better real soon! 
Winnie the Pooh hugs, Linda (your moms friend) " 

LINDA,  Your such a sweet heart!  You made me get all choked up in front of my dad! LOL  What a grand present you sent Nic!  I took lots of pictures (he had the biggest smile) I will post here when I get them uploaded.   My dad says...wow someone sends you a gift and you don't even know them??  What do you say on that journal of yours he says?  LOL  
YOU with just losing your home took the time out to send this gift to my baby means SO much to me.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!  I was telling Nic about YOUR baby Mandy and where she worked and that someday when we get back to Disney we would go meet her.  He got all excited. Now he talks about "his girlfriend Mandy" all the time who lives at Disney World!  Tell Mandy to watch out...her boyfriend will be looking for her when he gets to Disney!  :)  THANK YOU LINDA!   
I will keep your gift secret until I post pics later today (I HOPE TO POST PICS TODAY).

I just can't believe how wonderful you guys have been with sending your prayers, and well wishes, even gifts to someone you don't know personally :)  I am SO happy I chose here for my blogging. 

BTW, Linda,  I like that gift as much as Nic!  Hubby had to tell me to save some for NIC!  We had a great time with it! 

MRI Results

Well, it took a while but we finally got our results.  We were suppose to know by 1pm but didn't know anything until 3.  And the nurse we had last was aweful.  She didn't even come empty his urine bowl the whole day...it was filled and there was no more room for him to go anymore!  Cory finally went out to talk to the head nurse and SHE came in to take care of it.  Anyway, the news is ALL good :)  There must have been a glitch in the film  or a shadow of his bone because the MRI showed NOTHING there :)  I was SO thrilled!~  We are now home after waiting two hours or more to be released by OUR awful nurse.  Nic had to have the IV in his arm for an extra hour and 45 min after he needed it.  The drip was actually suppose to come out at 1 so he could walk without dragging the machine around and the iv was suppose to be removed at 3 but nothing came out until 10 min before we had to leave!  I was not happy!  This nurse was young and didn't seem to care much at all.  Glad were home!  Well, I'm going to get to bed early because I really missed my bed!  A LOT!  I am so sick of sleeping on hard recliners!  I will post all the pictures and one video that we were able to take.  Our camera phone didn't do so well but we do have a couple that we can post.  Thanks everyone for your prayers and thoughts!  I appreiciate it more then you know!  See ya tomorrow! 

MRI done

HUH I added an entry but don't see it...in case it didn't show up I will read news here in hopes THIS one works. There will be a little more info in this one because I found a little more time...so I will just erase the other if it does happen to show up. 

This morning they grabbed Nic up at 6am and took him off to a little room to put in his IV.  He said ow ow and some tears rolled but that was it. I was SO proud of him...he got to pick a gift from a treasure chest which he picked a shark pincher...of course he was all over the halls biting every nurses butt with it!  UGH!  LOL 
Then at 10 the took him down to the MRI room and we walked with him.  OH I didn't think I would cry but I did.  Not in front of Nic but once they had him in there...he kept saying mommy and it made me so sad :( 

We were back in his room at 11:45 and he wanted to get right up to run around...he was a little unstable so we pushed him around for a bit first.  Now at 2 pm he's just fine and back to normal...ate well too.   We have no OFFICIAL word yet on the MRI but it shouldn't be long now.  I will either update at home or once we get settle back into his room.  Keep us in your prayers!  THANKS SO MUCH! 

Still here, and a THANKS!

You guys have all been so wonderful with all your great comments.  Nic has only improved more today :D  NOW all we need is that GOOD NEWS from our test results from the MRI which should be tomorrow.  Not a guarantee that it will be tomorrow but looks that way.  We should know by 8am if we are in the schedule or not.  If we are then poor Nic will be getting an IV in the am sometime :(  It will be ME and HIM who is crying over that one!  I'm sure.    We did take some pics with our camera phone and my daughter brought the camera today so we can get some better pics and maybe a video...she forgot the card so I can only take what is available on my camera.  So I will try to get as much as I can so you can see how much he LOVES it here lol.  We asked him if he wanted to go home today and he says NO.  He's the center of attention lol  why would he want to go home??
Daddy went to the store close to the hospital and brought him a doctors bag and BOY did he like that!  I told hubby to get him some of the cars from the movie "Cars" because he collects them but he didn't listen and got him a doc bag.  I really didn't think he would like it as much as he did but he LOVED it.  It was the same doctor kit that was in the toy room so that made it even better :D  I was wrong...he loved it just like Cory said he would. 
He has really been loving our attention and him and daddy played for hours in the play room and I enjoyed a little nap.  Poor Cory slept on two hard chairs with two foot stools inbetween them.  After a few hours of that he asked about a more comfy spot.  Nic and I were ok and sleeping so the nurses showed him the couch in the teen center and put a note on the door for him...so at least he got a little more comfy spot to sleep.  Tonight he may stay in the Ronald Mc Donald house next door.  He can shower there.  I'm jumping in the shower after Nic tonight before bed LOL  They will never know! 
Well, I better get to the playland...daddy and Nic are meeting me there in about 5 min!  I better not be late.  They are riding bikes down the hall ways now until I'm done updating.  I WILL get to everyones journal eventually!  I WILL!  Maybe tonight after Nic goes to sleep.  IF I'm not to tired!  I will update tomorrow to let ya know when the MRI is on for.  Thanks again everyone for the wonderful comments!  They made me all teary eyed from all the love you guys are sending over!

Hello from the hospital

Thanks everyone for the prayers and nice comments!  It's been a rough, long, sad, scary day that's for sure!  We started out at 4:15 am with him saying Mommy ow ow.  I knew within a min that we were going to call 911.  I called 911 and cory called his mom who is a retired emergency nurse.  She just lives right next door so she was right over in a flash.  My dad slept through everything...sirens, walking upstairs, nic crying....everything.  We left him a note and woke up Stefan and told him what was going on and then we were off.  Nic was uncomfortable for the first, I'd say 9 hours of our stay at the hospitals...then about 2pm he started to feel a bit better and was able to walk some and use the potty.  He VERY MUCH disliked  pooping in the bed pan!  OH MY did he ever!  Poor thing! 
Well, it's now 8:30 pm and he has been non stop since...riding every toy they have here in the hospital and playing outside.  I hear him laughing now riding down the hall LOL  That makes me feel a little better.  I'm SO worried about him...my worst fear is that they may find cancer.  I PRAY that is not the case but I can't help thinking that way. 
I just wanted to update and tell everyone thank you...I have to go to give hubby a break and walk/run with Nic down the halls.....well, just heard dad say it's time to retire the cars for the night so I guess it's time to get him ready for bed and teeth brushed.  Thank you all again!  :D  It means a lot to me.  Hubby is going to stay here with me tonight so that makes me feel much better.  I didn't want to stay here alone :(   I will update tomorrow on how he is doing. 

Nick is sick

This is Cory.

Nick is in the hospital.  He woke up about 4:15 this morning crying and yelling for mom and saying "Ow" over and over.  His head hurt really bad just above his spine.

We called 911 and he went to the local hospital in the Ambulance with Carrie.  I just got back from there.  From the CT Scan it looks like the neck isn't anything major but they found some bleeding or bruising on the brain in a small 7mm spot in the left-front area.

When I left they were sending him to Marshfield clinic where they can do an MRI because they don't have the right staff for pediatric MRI at the local hospital.  Carrie is riding in the ambulance down to Marshfield.  I came home to quick get some clothes and other stuff for her and him. 

I figured I better post this so everyone who we forgot to call knows what is going on.

ABC's and update on my daughter video/PICS lots of um

Well, my daughter is back to normal now...the docs think she had a virus so after some pain pills she is doing ok.  They did take tests that have not come back yet for lime's and some other things just to be safe.  Results should be back this week or next.  She is not taking the pain meds anymore so things seem to be looking up :)

Today will be a cleaning day...have lots to do including sheets and shower curtains to wash today.  Stefan is cleaning the living room and taking out garbage and then he's off to his friends house prob to spend the night.  My dad is out in his lazyboy taking a nap and Nic is at grandmas for lunch.  Today will be a stay home day since I have eggs hatching today :)  Good day to spend the day cleaning.  I really need to go to the store but I have dinner planned for today so I can wait until tomorrow to go.  I HOPE all 6 eggs hatch by tomorrow. 

Our garden is really coming along and doing better then I expected.  Of course ME who DID NOT want a garden is doing all the work.  I KNEW that would happen lol.  Cory wanted this garden and he and everyone else does like looking at it grow but do not pull weeds or water or fertilize.  In his defense he has been working LONG hours and working on weekends for his business.   If it were not for the expense of the food in the stores right now I would leave it go to weed!  lol  NO I prob wouldn't but I HATE gardens!  HATE THEM!  What I did do was put straw down so the weeds were not so plentiful ;) It has helped!  Here are a few pictures of my garden...didn't take as many as I wanted to because I forgot my camera card.  This is BEFORE weeding for the week too.  So it does look pretty bad.

Note from hubby:  Carrie conveniently forgets the FIVE times I tilled it just to be able to plant... and left out that I watered the garden yesterday before she posted this.

BROCCOLI...If anyone has experience with broccoli feel free to chim in here!  broccoli has confused us...like I said, this is our first time gardening and some of our plants have flowers on and areare real tall and others have what looks like broccoli coming up with NO flowers??  Are these flowers plants going to seed BEFORE giving us veggies?  AND WHY?

I had to take a picture of Jack....this is our umm I call it our foyer but Its not what it is literally...lol It's the middle of the steps...we have steps going up and down from this area.  Jack likes sleeping next to my VERY heavy fox and I have no clue why lol  Sometimes he cuddles right up next to him, it's so cute.


Alexandra is taking Nic swimming at the pool...turns out they get their, pay, and then the place closes down because they seen lightning!  So she got a free day pass and Nic was not happy he didn't get to swim...Alex took him to a lake but he would NOT go in.  He wanted the pool!  LOL  Here is NIc looking at ALex while I take the picture.

Hey everyone!  Your saying! WHAT? another entry so soon!?  YUP I had some time.  Cory had to work late and then my daughter called and said she was not feeling good at all and had pain in her legs and arms.  She wanted to go to the emergency room so luckily Cory was still in town and is picking her up and taking her there.  I will update tomorrow on how that went. 

In other news...my dad said he would like to pay for cable here.  He misses his news channels.  So we will get the cheapest deal we can. Anything would be better then this box we have!  I'm happy about that!  We would have dealt with it but it's going to be nice to get the dish back again. 

The last two nights Nic tried sleeping at Grandmas house just to come home right before bed saying he was scared and wanted mommy!  AWWW  He's so sweet.  He only slept at Grandma's one night in his life and that's only because he fell asleep lol.  He was pretty tired tonight..he spent all day with grandpa clearing some land over on our property.  My FIL wants to make a park in between our properties so they are working on that a little at a time.  Nic is learning how to drive the big tractors and bulldozers.  I will have to take some pics of that next time. He sits in the cab with grandpa...once he fell asleep on grandpas lap in the tractor lol.

Trying to think...

I have to keep up a little better on this journal.  I can't remember what has been going on! lol  First I will start with a Great Friend of mine.  A lot of you know her...Lori (she has a private journal or I would link it here).  Last week she sent me a really nice bread knife!  It works SUPER!  Thank you Lori!  We of course use it every day because we don't eat any bread but home made bread :)



Then the next day a friend from BYC sent me a really cool looking Alpaca hat from a swap thread they do there :)  It's the cutest thing! 





Nic has been a crazy boy lately.  He wants to run, run, run.  He has a million mosquito bites and last night he cried most of the night until I realized I hadn't given him is Zyteck.  Once I gave him a dose of that, 1/2 hour later he was sound asleep!  He is so allergic or something to those darn Mosquito's.  Poor kid has been miserable.  All he wants to do is run to grandma's house and help grandpa run the tractor but it's all in the woods where the mosquito's are the worst!  I tried to keep him in yesterday but that didn't work so well. 

We got our little white grocery getter (his white station wagon looking thing) fixed yesterday (his dad fixed it, and after MANY parts ordered...300 bucks worth, and lots of work, finally got it going) so last night was one heck of a night for us too.  I will tell you why...We decided at 6pm that we would run to Fleet farm and Mendards for a few things we needed. We got to Fleet Farm and got what we needed there and head back on the freeway when all of a sudden a huge CLUMP come from the tire!  It freaked me out because it jerked the whole car and we thought we could hear something dragging from the car.  Cory pulls over in my son's high school parking lot...we were right next to that exit.  Gets out...nothing...can't see anything.  Call his dad and he said it was prob the emergency brake broke lose in the hub of the tire.  He said it had rusted on and he could not break it lose.  SO Cory started taking the tire off BUT we did not have a screw driver lol.  So his mom and dad drove 1/2 hour to help him out.  By this time Nic and I had to go potty pretty bad lol. 
After about an hour they got it fixed and put back together...that's what it was...the emergency brake.  Good news for us!  I sure did SOUND a lot worse then it really was. 

My dad is doing fine here...he seems to really enjoy the outdoors!  He is outside most of the day.  He loves sitting in his lazyboy out in the garage.  And he will run into our little town not to far from here and buy his lottery tickets.  He also walks up to my inlaws and talks with my FIL...or my FIL will walk over here.  They seem to enjoy each others company. 

OH, a little rant...you know were all going digital come feb of 2009...well we got our $40 coupons in the mail so we used those the other day and got some digital receivers for the tv.  They work now already so we plugged ours in (it's a Sansonic brand)  Well it SUCKS...our tv goes in and out and keeps changing channels back to PBS!  It does get 10 channels here (we only used to get five) but 5 of those are PBS channels and not a lot on them.  AND we no longer get a channel I usually watched during the day...it was a bit fuzzy but we got it.  Now we don't!  I hate this thing!  END RANT

Movie reviews:  I have a few

"The bucket list"  We LOVED it.  I have hear some other mixed reviews from others who have seen it tho.  My FIL thought it was slow in the middle.  We enjoyed the whole movie and give it two thumbs up.  Starring: Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman...both did a great job in this movie. 

"National Treasure 2"  This was an AWESOME movie.  I recommend this movie to everyone!   Starring:  Nicolas Cage

We have not been watching many movies lately...we have four more to watch yetsitting here for the last week.  We used to watch movies A LOT but now that summer is here I have the yard work, garden, chickens, house cleaning, brooder, egg incubator, and the boys to take care of. That takes up most of my day.. PLUS they are hooked on WOW lately and I don't like watching movies by myself.  So Nic and I go out and spend time with the chickens while they play games :)  It works for me! 

Yesterday we had a surprise visitor...a best friend of the kids since they were all like 2 yrs old!  She is now 16!~ They moved to Denver years ago and the kids don't get to spend time together only when they happen to come over to WI OR once we went there to Denver to visit them. She come over here by herself and is staying with her other friend here in town.  She called Alex and her, Alex and Stefan went to a movie together.  Then she spent the rest of the day with Stefan.  She stopped over to say hi to me.  It was SO nice to see her.  I got a pic of her and Stefan together.







I can't think of anything else that has been going on this past week.  I think I touched a little on everything.  I am going to do an entry in Hangin Wit My Peeps here in a bit so stop over and check that out in a bit :)  Hope everyone has a great day today!

We went to that going away party last week...here is a couple pics of that day: Nic with his cousins and their great dane puppy.  The brown  haired little girl just got a kidney transplant and is doing SO well.  Cory's cousins adopted her...her mother never took her to the doctor and she almost died.  Her mother is no longer allowed to see her at all.  The adoption is final now :) Nic gets to see her again the end of July for family reunion.  They were just inseparable...it was so cute.

Other then being a BAD chicken mommy <---(SEE WHY HERE)! I got some news...my camera should be home to me today! I will take some pictures.  I've got so many things to take pictures of.  I have been without my camera for 1/2 week now. It's driving me insane!  I also have the good by party pics on there too. I didn't take many but I got of Nic and his "friend" he called her.  She was his cousin.  She just went through a liver transplant but I will tell you that  whole story later.  Alex and I both have eye apt's today at 10.  Fun Fun Fun...I never get to stay home a whole day anymore! 

Whats been going on?

Well, to tell you the truth NOT MUCH...but alot at the same time!  We have 'busy' work lately with trying to get chicken houses build and painted and now we just made an indoor Serama house for my little girls and guy. 
Were really enjoying my dad being here.  Nic is loving it...although he still wants to spend 24/7 with grandma...and right now with grandma being sick, I let him spend as much time with her as she can handle.  I want him to know her. 
My dad is 81 yrs old and he has a heart problem and is considering getting the surgery he needs now...but still not sure.  His thought is, "i'm 81 and I lived my life!" Well, were not done with him yet so he has to stick around for a while ;)  He has the easy life here with us.  We don't let him work at all...he can't lift anything although he does try!  He doesn't get away with it for long. 
Stefan has a new girlfriend ;o Surprise there right? lol  I just posted his last girlfriend and now he has a new one!  The old one broke up with him tho.  We will see how long this new girl lasts.  Anyway, been home bodies lately...Cory has off Fridays now so that's really nice.  I forgot my camera at a going away party we went to yesterday!  THREE hours away!   I hope to get it sent back to me. I can't wait till the end of July!  I can't NOT take pics for that long.  I did take some with my phone camera but its not always the best quality.  OH we now added movie night to our weekly plan.  And we took out one Tech night because we were never watching our movies we paid for. Now NO tech night is on Mondays and Movie night is on Thursday at least for the summer cuz cory is off work Friday.  We can stay up late.  Were thinking of adding a game night...but maybe not till Nic gets a little older and can enjoy it.  Well, I think that's if for now ;) I'm WAY behind on alerts and I think I'm going to start over tomorrow.  So I may delete my incoming but those I read all the time I will eventually read back!  Good night all! It's 12:30 am and i'm tired!
