My diet has sucked the last three days because of having to be on the road so much and we had to eat out. I could have made better choices and that's one thing I have to learn. Even in a crisis you CAN make better choices but I tend to use it as an excuse. Well, my dad is still in the hospital and he has a bad case of Pneumonia and possibly in heart failure...they are taking ekg tomorrow morn and they also found what they thought to be a aneurysm in his stomach and are checking that tomorrow also. I will keep you informed as to what happens.

I wrote down info for fast food on a piece of paper and I'll take it with me. I put the calorie count, fat, and carbs of my favorite food on it. It will help me make better choices. You can do the same and add your ww points to it as well. We can still eat out and make good decisions. HOwever, you were under a lot of stress this weekend, I'm sure. I know it's hard staying on track when a family member is sick. I hope your dad gets to feeling better soon. My prayers will be with your family!
I agree with you ... it is always easy to come up with an excuse to eat "bad" foods. There are "good" choices or "better" choices out there - even at fast food places. But I know where you are coming from for sure!
Keep going and just take a U turn to get back on your diet. It will be worth it to you and your family!
I hope everything is ok with your Dad!

Here's my eating out diet plan: grilled chicken and steamed veggies if I'm at a sit down place.... if I'm at mcdonalds - salad or fruit and yogurt parfait.... I'm I'm at a Waffle house type place I get BASTED eggs - they're eggs fried in water instead of grease. You can do it...
But I think... sometimes we just get too tired to be able to think about what to eat. It takes practice and rehearsing what you're going to eat in different situations. I actually STUDY menus from different restaurants online. Seriously.
let us know what happens...
*hugs*
