Linux VS. Windows/Britney Drama

I had a few people email me asking me about Linux and why it's better then Windows. 

Here is just a few reasons we love Linux over Windows.  Not to mention it's very VERY difficult to catch any virus's on Linux. Be sure to watch the entire video..they have different stuff all through out the video.

Windows can't do anything close to that!
Now your paying probably a couple hundred dollars on Windows and THIS is FREE! AND you can try it before you actually install it to your computer.  It is slower when you try it...but once you install it it's fast. They just have  it to try first so you can see if it's going to work for you or not. I hope this video helped with your decision. 

Ok now on to my entry:

I was up at 6 making dinner of course and the guys are now off to work and I'm in the process of uploading my video of Nic signing to Stefan. And I have a cute picture of them watching the Simpson's together on the Apple. As you can see...my kitchen is still not clean! lol  I WILL finish it today!  I WILL! 



Ok yesterday we were snowed in of course from all the blowing drifts so that means I was not able to run out and get a soda.  I had no soda yesterday and I had ONE BIG caffeine head ache!  I was miserable!  I called hubby and asked him to PLEASE stop at the gas station and pic me up a soda.  lol  He told me no but when he got home he had :)  My head ache went away after I drank that :)  He also picked up the free 2 liter bottle we had a coupon for.  I'm not thrilled with it but when there is nothing else here I will drink it lol. 

Ok has anyone seen the Britney Spears drama this morning?  I'm not even sure what happened but  she and her family are at the hospital.  I think she may have tried to commit suicide? I only got a chance to catch the end of it.  Does anyone know what's going on there?  I feel terrible for her and I hope that she gets her life straightened out.  I have always loved her and I love her music.  I think deep down she is a really sweet person but just doesn't know how to get out of her slump she's in. I pray someone can help her.  Her kids are adorable and I hope they will get to see the Britney she used to be.

School's closed today

Well all the schools in the are are closed today and half day yesterday as well.  We have -50 degree wind chill around here and we have snow drifts about 5 feet tall!  My hubby barely made it out the driveway with the 4 wheel drive.  He went bashing through!  Snow went flying everywhere. I wish I would have recorded that but didn't want to go out in this!  Maybe when it gets a little warmer I will venture out. 
I have a really cute video of Nic signing to Stefan...I will post it later today. 
Still not done with the kitchen..just can't get myself to do it lol.  I have been keeping up with what I have already gotten done tho and the dishes are done.  Laundry is kept up to so I don't have so much to do on Friday. 
I did scrub 1/2 of the floor with my little scrub brush so that is less I have to do tomorrow.  Nic was a really big help with that.  Stefan did all his chores today and he even scrubbed the floor downstairs and that wasn't even on his chore list ;)  That doesn't happen often.


Oh I have a couple movie reviews for ya:

"The Simpson's Movie"  The kids really enjoyed this and I thought it was ok but I wouldn't want to watch it again.  I'm not a huge Simpson's fan anyhow.  Hubby seemed to like it.  Their whole town was enclosed in a glass dome because homer dumped his pig silo in the lake lol  He contaminated the whole town.  The town people wanted to kill homer so they Simpson family escaped the dome and moved to Alaska.  Only to go back and help save the town from being blown up by the EPA. 

"Sydney White"  Starring Amanda Bynes...this was an awesome movie...comedy and drama mixed and it was a GREAT teen movie.  It's about a  young girl who after losing her mother at age 9 was raised by construction workers (her father being a plumber). She went off to the college her mother wanted her to go to... to become a member of the same Sorority.  It was an all around great movie and even Nic kept an eye on it once in a while.  This movie gets a two thumbs up from me ;) 

Ok I have to get off here for now but watch for that video of Nic later on ;)  If I can't get back on tonight I will post it in the morning after the guys go to work/school.

The video at the end is for you Cassie! lol  Now he not only has shirt and jacket with no pants but he's added a cap and overnight back pack too! He's on his way to a sleep over at his cousin Jaden's house (so he says)  and guess what...he still doesn't want pants on lol 
And about the cottage cheese...we use it as a gravy over the boiled potatoes.  YUM!  You should try it!

Anyway, I just cannot get into a cleaning mood so I thought I would come here and check out my clean pics again to maybe get me in the mood lol.  I'm just going to start refreshing the clean rooms again this morning, make the beds, vacuum and then maybe I will feel like finishing the kitchen.  The thing is, I have the dirty dishes from breakfast staring me in the face lol I did start laundry so I better just get the sink ran with hot water and get the dishes soaking while I freshen up the rooms I already did clean.  I'm on day three now and I have 5 days to finish this project. 
And someone asked me if cleaning now means I was done when spring came around...NO lol I usually like to do this five day cleaning thing at least 3 times a year, sometimes 4.  During Spring cleaning I add curtain washes...washing under fridge and stove.  And washing all the windows. And some others too. As long as it doesn't get to cluttered I'm good! lol 

One thing I hate is clutter.  Like piles of newspapers/magazines/books hanging out on the floor or piles of bills laying on the table just piles of anything...even if their neat...I can't stand that! lol 
One thing that's bugging me right now is my computer desk...it got so cluttered up and I have NO clue what's in the drawers at all!  So after I'm done with this project I'm moving on the that one and I'm going to organize my drawers.  Oh and I can't stand junk drawers although I do have one!  lol  I think it's impossible not to have one because there are always these odd things that really have no place anywhere.  Ya know what I mean? 
The weird thing is..I hate all these messy things but my house is usually NOT clean lol  it's usually messy, but when Its clean Its usually pretty darn clean. My husband always tells me...just pick up a little every day and don't do the in depth cleaning...well I just can't clean a little..it's all or nothing.  I'm weird that way i guess.  I wish I could just clean a little here and there all the time.

Can you believe I only got 1/2 done with my kitchen!  I was hoping to head downstairs today and get the super cleaning done down there but my cupboards just needed some extra tender lovin care.  They were a mess...although I know why!  Nic has been playing in them recently when I'm not home.  Dad lets him!  I don't! lol  I like to be able to find things when I need them.  I did end up with a whole laundry basket full of thing (mostly Stefan's things) that did not belong upstairs!  That doesn't surprise me though. 

This morning I was up at 5:30 and started boiling potatoes for breakfast.  We had Pork chops, boiled potatoes,  cottage cheese, and corn this morning. 

Yesterday as I was cleaning the kitchen guess who followed me again of course! lol  I'm serious, they cuddle up in whatever room I am in.  AND for your info, JACK was the first one up on this chair and Aspen came and cuddles with him even though there is another chair right next to this one.  Aren't they just adorable! I think Aspen really loves him.  He fell in love with one of our foster kittens too and when we had to give him up Aspen was sad for a month after.  I don't think I will do that to him again.  I think we may have to keep him. Plus, he is a really good cat!  I have moved his litter pan like 5 times and he has always been perfect using it. 





Look at cubby laying next to the heater vent in the bathroom lol. He stays in the bathroom at  night because he has been having accidents in the house if he's not confined.  He's fine in the bathroom for 6 hours!  Why can't he hold it if he's lose?? 



Aww isn't this justthe sweetest thing?? !  Stefan is so good with Nic.  Nic loves him to death but gets a little angry at him if he tries to wrestle with him lol.  Stefan opened up the bed in the couch and Nic cuddled up with him. I just love my kids!   



Here is a video of Naptime yesterday.  Nic has his water and his movie and he's off to slumberland ;)   He never wants to take a nap but he knows he has no choice in that matter lol  I NEED his naptime so I can have a little "me" time. 
I have more videos to post and prob more pics too later.  For now it's back to the kitchen!!!  Oh how I wish I was done with that kitchen.  lol  Oh yesterday Nic helped me wash the floor!  He was such a good helper.  When I wash floors its on my hands and knees with windex lol  Yup, windex..it does the best job and gives the floor a much needed shine.  I spray windex on then used the scrub brush where needed, then take my wet rag and wipe it off.  DONE!  No rinsing required. Oh check out Nic's  "i love you sign" at the end of the video...SO cute!

 

Day two, part one... Living Room

Well the living room is now FINISHED!  I'm  happy because it's only noon! Now I have half the day to work on the kitchen and I hope I can get it done!  I got so hot cleaning I had to take off my sweatshirts and put on a short sleeved shirt now sitting her doing my entry I'm freezing again lol  Nic refuses to keep on pants but at least while he's watching tv he has a blanket on him. And while he up running I can see why he may be hot...I was!  Ok here are the pics:  I'm feeling better the cleaner my house gets.  I have some before shots too ;)  And I have some videos that I will post later of Nic. 
Now were going to take a lunch break and then I will put Nic down for his nap and I will start my kitchen work while watching "Little House on the Prairie" Or should I say while listening to it.  That show always gets me in a cleaning mood.  ALWAYS...it's my ALL time favorite show and I own every season...thats how I can live without cable! lol  I would watch those 24/7 seriously!  Just ask my daughter, hubby or even niece~!  lol  They will tell you.

Poor Max, Nic loves putting his leash on him and dragging him around the house!  He escaped and found a place to get some rest lol.  He's actually still sleeping there hours later. 

Day one Part two...

Ok I didn't lose anything but better safe then sorry~!   So here are some more  pictures of my Friday.  

Here is Nic with his job...cleaning all the heater vents upstairs.  He's really enjoying it...then he tried washing my bed, he washed the vacuum, the cats, the dogs, you name it it got a wipe!







Remember when I told you my daughter got to be a security guard at the Green Bay Packer games?  Well, she had told me she got me something and I was excited to see what  it was.  She gave it to me the other day...here it is: I LOVE it! It's one of those towels that the fans wave around.



Here is my door stop for my bedroom...for some reason our doors don't stay open.  Drives me nuts! lol So each door has a door stop.



My hall closet...got this dusted too!  I almost forgot about that. 





My upstairs bathroom...(notice the door stop) it's the white thing hanging off the door knob lol. If you haven't noticed...all my walls are white and boring! I am going to be changing that hopefully over the summer ;)  I hate all white walls in every room! 



Nic's room...ok NOT all the rooms lol  But most of them are white.  I repainted this one the year we moved in. I would still like to add stripes on 1/2 of one wall yet.  Have all the paint and stuff to do it!  I should just do it! lol BTW...see the little baby seal painting?  I painted that!  It's he cute!



This is his reading corner, the fan is for white noise which helps him sleep better and longer ;)  He has heard that since I was pregnant cuz we always had a fan in our room...now we use the baby monitor for white noise lol 





Last..here is my breakfast I made this morning.  Scalloped potatoes with Ham.  It was pretty good but next time would add garlic and onions to it.

Day one of my week long cleaning fest w/ pics Part one...

I'm alive and survived getting all the boys fed and off to school and work and now I'm going to be on my second day of my "Clean really well week". lol  Remember on Friday (Day one) I was going to clean my room and the bathroom?  Well, I did that with success and I managed to get Nic's room done too.  Today I'm touching up all those rooms again and adding the living room and some of the kitchen if not all of it.  Then it will be downstairs hopefully tomorrow IF I can get everything up here done and laundry done for up here.  Here is what I did so far (pics below)...along with a cute video of Nic jumping on my bed while my sheets are in the wash machine.  He's so cute!
See the white hand in the picture below...well my MIL made that and it used to have a little girl leaning on "her father's" hand, they fit together like a glove. It was SOO adorable and I had it for years and years but while washing it one day it broke.  I had a fetish of having it sparkling clean washing it with windex to make is shine.  I was so depressed when It broke!  My MIL tried to make a replacement but that broke soon after...just wasn't strong enough and it never fit with the hand correctly either. It just was never the same afterward. I wish now that I had taken a pic of it before when i first got it. 



This great oak cabinet was made by my FIL...I told you I had very talented inlaws! lol Isn't it great! I store some of my DVD's in it. It has a bench that goes with it that is in Nic's room and we are storing his race track in it.  I love them! I will take a pic of the bench later and post it at the end.





Nic enjoys a mid day snack while he watches tv. 



Of course the cats have to be in whatever room i'm in while I'm cleaning. AND they will always find the sun! lol










Nic takes a nap...he sleeps in his sleeping bag now cuz we do keep it down to 60 degrees in here and that really keeps him warm.




Ok I'm having trouble downloading my pics so I have to control, alt, delete and I'm afraid I will lose this! I'm going to save this and have another part to this entry.  Be right back with more pics and a video too ;)

Early Mornin for me

Ok I was up at 5am making Scalloped Potatoes and ham for breakfast.  Sure is a good thing I was not up till 1 something in the morning with Kelly and Cassy learnin how to add music to my journal! WHEW!  I would be tired! My breakfast is in the oven and I have a few minutes to look for more coupons lol.  I tell ya, I'm going nuts lately trying to find ways to save money on our grocery bill.  It used to be kind of fun but now it's just down right annoying!!  I want it to be a little easier to print the darn pieces of paper.  first the site doesn't support my browser...then you have to download the coupon printer!?  What the heck is a coupon printer you never used to need a coupon printer to print coupons!!?  GOSH can't anyone make it easier to save a little money anymore!?
Well I did everything it said to do and then guess what, even tried the browser THEY SAID they supported but...no paper!  NOTHING!  So then I think...humm...I bet my son's laptop which has windows will work.  YUP it did...Microsoft probably owns the the darn coupon sites too lol.! Grrr...so now any time I want to print a coupon I have to go down to his room and do all that Jaz! 
Ok rant done.  I think I'm going to go back to bed till our breakfast is done lol  I probably won't but it sure is a good thought.

Nope, I didn't go back to bed but instead let the dogs out and picked up downstairs quick.  Now there is 13 more minutes left before I have to add the cheese to my dish and then back in the oven for another 15 min.  Trevor stayed over last night so Stefan has to drop him off at school too so they have to leave a bit earlier today.  I heard the alarm about 10 min ago but I think they hit the snooze! lol 
I will do another entry later with pictures but for now have to get my cheese ready to add :) hope everyone has a great morning today!

Coupons??

Ok I was wondering if anyone had any good places I could find grocery coupons?  I did find a few online but everything is "fill out this and fill out that form!" It's crazy...isn't there anything out there that you can just print coupons without having to sign up for anything?  If anyone  has any tips on finding coupons please fill me in!!  Thanks so much. 
Not much of an entry today because I have been searching the web for money saving ideas.  I will be back with a better entry tomorrow ;) 
OH Stefan's truck is fixed...he put his mirror on today and it' looks ok.  It's drivable and he did drive it into town with his friend.

My little boy took FIRST!!!!at JV State today.  I will take pics of him with his first place chart and his gold medal.  Another medal to the already MANY he already has.  Boy he's going to have so much to hand down to his son or daughter...they will be so proud of him.

A question for you...does anyone out there drink coke products?  And are you doing the coke rewards online?  If not, can you email me any codes that you get? They are under every coke product cap or located on the inside of the coke boxes.  I'm working on getting some American Idol glasses that I may never get with points we use on our own lol.  We don't drink much soda now a days.  Thank you in advance for sending any you can to my aol email addy :)

Very sad mommy!!!

Well because of the crazy snow and freezing drizzle Cory thinks it's best I stay home and I have to agree. It would be way to dangerous on the roads today and it's suppose to drizzle most of the day. I just hope the bus is careful on the way home.  My son is disappointed that I'm  not there and I REALLY want to be there!  I have been staying in contact with him through text but the little brat is not giving the information I want.  I asked him how he was doing so far and he say's  "I'm not telling  you"  GRRR  Sometimes the boy drives me nuts!  I'm SO happy he made his lunch before he left and I did give him 3.00 for drinks...he did take a gallon of something to drink too so he's fine.  Now I'm looking outside and the sun is out and it stopped snowing but it's suppose to start raining here soon...it's drizzling where he is now and coming this way.  As it looks now I could drive no problem but I just don't want to take that chance.  I will be going nuts here until he gets home because he's not telling me a thing!! I don't even know if he wrestled yet...I'm sure he has wrestled at least one, maybe two already since it's noon.  They must be on a lunch break right now.  His best friend is there too wrestling today..he's from a different school but they end up at the same meets many times through out the season. At least someone is there with him. 

Going to be a long day~!

First I wanted to say...the three that asked to see that video in Hawaii, I will be putting it in an uncut aol video here soon and I will add your email addy so you guys can watch it.  I have to wait for hubby to download the egg thingy they say I  need lol He needs to put in his authorization code for the computer.  Protection so the kids can't accidentally download anything. 

Now why am I going to have a long day you ask?  Well, it's Saturday and Saturdays are all day wrestling meets.  And this Saturday is special because it's J.V. State and Stefan will be wrestling.  He took first last year and he would like to do that again this year.  Although It's crazy outside!  It's snowing like nuts and I am SOO mad becasue I wanted to head out but hubby wants me to wait till the snow stops and the plows get that junk off the road.  It was crazy bringing him into school this morning.  The roads sucked at 4:40 am~!   YES 4:40 is when we left home...he had to be to school at 5:15.  It take 30 min to drive there but it took us a little longer cuz of the sucky roads.  WHY does it have to snow today!??  WHY!? I will let you know IF I even get out of here! 

"clean really good day" Video/movie review

I know, funny subject line.  And I don't think I ever mentioned this in my journal before but once every couple months I will go through the whole house and have a really in depth cleaning day and clean everything including baseboards, sweep ceiling and walls down wash all bedding,  clean out closet good.  It usually takes me a whole day to do two rooms...sometimes one room if it's bad...like my daughters room used to be lol. 
Today is the day I do my bedroom and the upstairs bathroom.  AND I will TRY to get to the living room...that is the easiest room to do and I try to do that room with the kitchen on the same day because the kitchen is the hardest room to do since it involves taking out all the dishes and cleaning the cupboards too.  You would be surprised at what you can find deep in your cupboards sometimes!  Even going through it once every few months..that just grosses me out and so then if I find yucky dead bugs or anything like that I tend to move up the cleaning  next time lol.

Another MOVIE review:

"The Hunting Party" Starring Richard Gere and Terrence Howard  This was a REALLY good movie although it started out like it wasn't going to be very promising, it did get really good.  This is a true story and really makes you wonder what kind of government runs our country!!  Scary!  This is a must see!  These tree journalists decide to go on a hunt for the most wanted criminal in America and find themselves in deep doodoo!  Make sure you watch the special features!!!  There is a lot of info in there about this true story that you would be interested in. 

The guys were late again today getting off to work and school...because Stefan forgot it was garbage day and I am not taking Nic out in this cold weather to do it myself.  Poor kid has been stuck in this house for days now but he doesn't seem to mind it at all.  He 's finding things to keep him busy and he will help me today. I will give him a rag and have him wash the baseboards :)  he likes that part.  I have one picture to post today and I took it yesterday.  It's of our kitty were not keeping *cough* (baby jack) and Aspen.  I wish I could of caught them how they were laying when I first walked into the room...it was SO cute.  Jack heard me come in with the camera so he looked up at me.  I also have some other pics and a video of Nic cooking with grandma.  So cute.  LOOK at how BIG he's getting...Our black cat Aspen is close to 20 lbs and Jack doesn't look all that small next to him anymore!  He IS a pig...I bet he's going to be a huge cat too.  OH and I found my memory card for my camera :



Grandma came over the other day to bake some things because their oven broke down and they are waiting on a part to come in the mail.  My FIL can fix ANYTHING, seriously!  He saves us TONS of money!   My hubby can fix almost anything too so it's really nice to have them around :)  The video of them is at the end of this entry :)  It's so cute!  With Grandma going through Cemo and being so sick I try to get as many of these as I can so Nic will remember her the way she was with him.  The other two kids have TONS of video with her and I wish we could get them transfered here so I could share them...it will be a goal of mine ;) 







Here is our towing bill for the truck!! This did not help our budget...just when we start getting fixed...THIS happens! lol This is why we want to get our savings built back up.  Emergencies happen all the time and right now we can't afford them! lol

I forgot to tell you

I deleted the Hawaii movie from a few entries ago because I didn't want just anyone getting their hands on that in photobucket...my poor son would kill me.  Apparently it disappears on  your journal when you delete it there, so if anyone missed it and wants to see it just email me and I will show it to ya ;) 

Cable and movie reviews

Today is the day when we start living without cable lol  So far so good however when i went to turn on Franklin for Nic he was disappointed that I didn't get that on for him.  He will adjust.  Were just trying to cut all the things that are not a necessity's so we can get money back into our savings account.  We found with all the things we have that we don't need we are beginning to live pay check to pay check and we don't like it!  I may be going back to work to help out a little.  We won't need a sitter cuz Cory will be home for Nic when I go  to work.  He really doesn't really want me to go back to work but I may have no choice.  I will just do it until we get the CC paid off and have at least 3 grand in savings.  Then I will feel better! 
I have been making a strict grocery list and sticking to that.  We have not purchased ANYTHING that we don't need for months now.  It's boring, it sucks but sometimes that's what ya gotta do!  The only thing we have done that we could have saved on is me going to Stefan's matches.  The gas for travel is crazy...were still up over 3.17 a gal here!  Of course I have not been out in a few days so not sure if it has gone down or not. 

Movie reviews...I will most likely have a lot of those now that it's all we can watch!  We DID keep blockbuster online and with the envelope movies we get to exchange them for in store movies and we are grandfathered in so we still get unlimited exchange where as if you join now you only get five a month!  We go through WAY more then five a month!  So that's one reason to keep it going.  It's 21 bucks a month but we don't have late charges and we get up to 25 sometimes more movies a month if we get them watched and returned right away.  Stefan's school is only a few blocks from the school so it's convenient too!  Now, when Stefan graduates and no longer goes to school there it will be an inconvenience as it's miles away from my hubby's work.  Then we may have to re look at the cost of gas and all that to see if it's still worth it.  But for now were enjoying them. 
Last night we seen:

"Game Plan"  Starring The Rock and it was for sure a two thumbs up film!  And although it was about football, it wasn't ALLabout football.  It was mostly about this guys daughter.  Her mother dropped her off at his (her fathers) door step (so says she) and he has to watch her for a month while her mother is in Africa.  It's a must see!! And it's heartwarming too. 

"Good Luck Chuck"  Oh this was a hilarious movie and it was also Two thumbs up!  Starring Jessica Alba (she plays a big klutz on this movie)  and Dane Cook.  I have to warn you tho...DO NOT watch this around children OR even teens for that matter.  It's almost like a light porn lol Although we did get the unrated version...and OH man, i can see why! lol  It's funny tho and if you get a chance SEE this movie! 

Stefan has a meet tonight but he doesn't wrestle so I'm going to stay home today...I don't know if hubby will wait that long for him OR come home and make me run back and get him because of course Stefan's truck is under repair yet so he doesn't have it.  His light comes in tomorrow I HOPE!  And then after that if fixed he can drive it again.  And he's over being scared now so he said he was ready to drive again :)  That's a good thing.  I didn't think he would NOT want to drive for long. lol  Well, other then that I don't think anything else is going on lately. I don't have any new pics but will try to post some tomorrow of something! lol  My only plan today is cleaning, cleaning, and more cleaning...oh and laundry of course...the two are never ending are they!

Well, the guys are back and they explained to me what happened.  As they were getting on the freeway (the roads looked as clear as can be) Stefan started to speed up a little and as he started speeding up his truck hit that black ice and began sliding.  Stefan did everything right but with all the ice it's not hard to lose control of a vehicle as we all know!  He was only going 35 when they started sliding.  They slid sideways into the medium and flipped the truck when it hit the curb.  The truck was facing the opposite way by the time it landed on it's side.  Cory said Stefan was very brave.  His side was the side that was facing up so he tried opening  his door to get out and then the door fell on his thumb!  OUCH!  Now he  has a nasty blood blister from that.  He finally just crawled out the window followed by Cory.  They both had their seat belts on which was a good thing.  The cop that was there getting the report said he would just list it as unrecordable and keep it OFF Stefan's record and OFF our insurance as well.  That's going to save us some money and save Stefan's driving record as well.  He could have lost his license because for the first year all  points are doubled!  The cop believed it was not anyones fault and only an accident so he was really nice about it. 
Stefan was VERY shaken up about the whole thing and doesn't want to drive again for a while which is understandable!  I think a roll would freak me out too!  I have never been in a vehicle that actually rolled over to it's side! lol
So anyway...I didn't get any pictures cuz the truck is at grandpas house but I'm going to try to get some before he fixes it.  Grandpa is going to fix it up for him (I have such great inlaws!)  and get him back on the road.  It has minimal damage...a few dents and the side mirror of course broke off from the roll but that was about it.  Whew...what a day for us so far!  I just about had a heart attack when Cory called me all winded trying to tell me what happened!  My first reaction was OMG are you guys ok!?  Then I cried because it could have been SO much worse then that if he had been going faster!  Thank god he is a cautious driver!  He did a great job with the situation!  And thanks to some great people who sent some VERY nice email over my way...Chrissie and Lori... and my niece Heather for calling when she read my entry,  always listening to me gab on the phone whenever I want to gab! And for such wonderful comments...Janis,  Kelly, Meg and any new comments coming in AFTER I post this!  Love you guys!  And thank you!  The day has to get better....stay tuned! lol 

Car Accident!

My little boy (Stefan) and hubby were just in a car accident!  The roads were slippery but it was the "black ice" everyone talks about.  Well they hit some...rolled the truck, but they are ok.  Hubby called me and was huffing and puffing and I asked him what was wrong.  He said, well Stefan was in his first accident!  I freaked...he said it was a slow roll...whatever that is!  I will let you know more as I know it...they are with the police now so he can't talk much on the phone.  Poor Stefan!  He must have been So scared!  I'll be back

Ok I borrowed my son's memory card since I had the video recorded in the internal memory I could copy it to his card. I just could not get MUCH of the match but I got some of each quarter.  I will just add them together in one video.  It's not very long as my internal memory only allows for 2 min of video so I had to cut it short. 

I have to tell you a funny that happened yesterday morning while making breakfast (our dinner)   I was making Tuna Helper which I usually don't make for us but we had it in the cupboard so I didn't want to waste it.  Anyway...we were going to make it a different day so we took the little packages out of the box.  They were all sitting on the microwave and so when I was going to make it I grabbed the two white packs of cheese and cut them open...threw them in the water with the milk and butter and noodle mixture already all mixed together.  Well, I looked down and one was brown!!  It was my Weight Watchers chocolate drink!  lol  SO we had Tuna Chocolate helper HA.  I took as much of the chocolate out that I could and just added a little cheddar cheese since some of the cheese mix came out too.  It didn't taste half bad lol.

Ok here is how cold it was two days ago here...it has warmed up some since then and tonight it's only suppose to get to -14 instead of -20!   And from here it's suppose to start warming up a bit. I hope it does soon!

OMG I have to share this video! lol

Ok My son is going to kill me!  HAHA  But I have to share this video.  This is Oct of 2007 when Grandma took the kids to Hawaii.  They stayed at a Hostel on the island of Maui called The "Banana Bungalo".  When they pulled up to the hostel my daughter cried!  She said she refused to stay there!  lol  Grandma told her that they would stay that night and then move to a hotel.  She was ok with that as long as she had the promise they could move tomorrow. 
Well, the kids made friends that night and she ended up loving it there!  She decided to stay and she said it was the best time of her life.  They made several friends and her and Stefan stayed up all hours of the night getting to know these people.  They also had fabulous free tours while they were there.   Then she cried when it was time to leave!  lol  She is planning on going back for a visit and staying there when she does.   She is the instigator of this video!  lol 
The shirt Stefan has on is grandma's "boobs" shirt...She had a mastectomy years earlier but rarely wore this...Stefan decided to try it on.

While there the kids were in an earthquake!  I was terrified hearing that on the news and then it was several days before we heard from them...their phone had been out!  Then they had a flood!  lol  With all this they still had a great time. I will post a little video of their flood in another entry. 

Why don't I take Nic with me to the wrestling meets?

This one is just a little clue as to what Nic was like to take to a wrestling meet...he would do this WHILE everyone was wrestling too...if U try to make him stay on the bench he would throw his little fit and make a big deal about it. HE wanted to wrestle too!    THIS is why dad stays home with him.  At least for now!   I can't watch him and try to record Stefan wrestle at the same time.  lol

I found these videos very special and one of them is a dance my son was invited to...I just happened to have the camera in my van so I got a video of them walking into the school..it was so sweet!  These two are on again off again kind of dating.  They are off right now but I'm thinking they may be back on soon lol. BTW the black dog in the video was our ol Bailey dog!  We miss him SOO much...this was before Max!  Nick was a little over a year...If I showed this before, forgive me!  I can't remember if I had or not!  If I did just skip that one lol.

I had a request to see pics of our potato burger...the sad thing is I didn't have hamburger so you will have to picture that added lol.

Bake your potato and cut open...fluff up the pulp inside with fork.   



Add a pad of butter and 1/4 cup browned ground hamb (not pictured cuz I didn't have any)



then add shredded cheddar cheese and microwave for one minute and add a dab of sour cream on top

I made it into town and it's quiet here too.  There were several people at the gas station but I think they were the ones taking a break and getting off the freeway for a bit.  That was just as bad...plowshave not been out yet.  No schools canceled as of yet.  It's after one now so they may not even cancel them. 





Heading back home...I love this part of our street...always looks pretty.
